I am short on this. But from a fresh viewpoint, I would be waiting for price to break the main pivot. The USO could see PA pumped back up....you know how they like to do that before they let it fall. A close below main pivot does not mean USO won't pump it, either. But I think I'd want at least that, or more safe.....wait to see what USO traders do with it. Right now 89 ema is below Dragon. Another pump from US traders could bring a more ideal setup later in the session, maybe with 89ema above Dragon by then, or at least the two crossing.....

I go for SHORT (which is C Trend)...with nice SL and wise TP...

Good Morning, Sonikers!

Just a reminder that the US FOMC statement is due out around 2:15 PM EDT. This often leads to a US session that is flat, choppy, and ranging with an increase involatility after the announcement. Just something to be aware of.

Hi guys this is my first posting on this thread. I must say this method of trading is fantastic and straight forward. I use a 15min chart, wait for a nice long bar cutting through the 34MA channel (Dragon), then wait for a retrace back to the 34MA to enter. RR is awesome. If only there is a programmer out there who can program an alert when this setup occurs.

Nice sys and it helps me to review my trading aproach - less oscilators and more attention on price action. Now i have to learn to be patient waiting for signal and to sit on the hands following trend. 1-2-3 plus 3 emas and ok!
Long time tried to find the best method how to get ema right side, because ema always follow close, may be now i know

A wise TP isn't wise enough...
It almost hit my TP...but it showed a perfect bullish hammer PA..so I decide to move my SL just above the hammer close..

Sonic, I thought your stop was around 1.4826. How come you decide to move it when market traded towards it?

EU M15: We have what looks like another good setup. Last one was on GU. This one is showing similarity of key elements. There is less than 1 hour until FO and less than 2 hours until LO. We have a bit more time to wait to see if this starts to work out (reference: volume, CCI, etc.)

Furburr, I think Sonic moved SL to the place he showed on the pic around 1.4756 area, so instead of making 60 pips the trade closed with about 30 when the price started to go up.

Good morning, TAH. I've been loking into the same situation, however I don't like the set-up as retraces are very big. Besides, looking at the 4H chart we are close to the supporting trendline.

We have been waiting now quite a while for this to set up better. It has whipsawed violently during that time. And do not these really wide range whipsaws come sometime before a major move....as though the syndicate traders are pushing quick and hard to restructure positions?

Well, whatever will be, will be. Let the market decide. But just as much as the TL you have on the H4 is significant, so is the 89 ema I have on the H4.....this time it is in "magnetic attraction" mode......maybe!

How does this set up on AU M15 looks?

My concern is placing of SL. It skews up the R:R. Any thoughts on this please?

H4 TF shows bearish divergence. And this has already had multiple legs up. Not saying it won't be pumped and that a long trade can't make money, but it seems a bit risky now. That wide whipsaw was volatility, which needs to foster some direction. I'm skeptical...nothing just keeps going up, and if you gave it time to show its true colors, you might miss out on one trade, but you'll have more confidence in the next one. And the one you miss out on, might turn out to have been a lousy trade.

Just thinking out loud. I do not trade this pair, so you are probably a better analyzer of it than I am.

FO trading has pumped the PA a bit, so picture is constantly changing.....
