I think you will find that they are talking about Binary Options.

These are often used as hedges and if they are European Style Binaries (which cannot be closed before the strike date) then the trader will have a hedge for price to either close above that strike or below.

Either way, there will be people trying to defend it depending on which Binary they are holding.

Fed policy statement due today, which should move currency markets. Investors continue to see positive news: Asian Development Bank raised its 2009 projection for Asian economic growth ex-Japan to 3.9% from 3.4%. Euro is at a new 12-month high. Swiss Franc is at a new 12-month high. New Zealand’s currency also. I expect the Fed to continue to give lip service to the fact that they will not be raising interest rates in the near future. Could be a volatile time if the Fed changes its stance, but I’m still short dollars.

Here's my indicator ie the one on the bottom.

To get it in its own window ... add 'BlankWindow' indicator to create a new window. Then add my minichart indicator and change the parameter 'WindowNumber' to the number of the new window ... should be '1' if your new window is the second window. The main chart window is '0'.

I think so but more this time 1.4809 /24but during big news like FOMC may spike up enough before down . anyway trading news can be very risky , technical levels may not work all the times and trades on ts , breakevent & b slides with some EA like swiss army when due to enormous risks in mind can trail for both profit & loss ones .Anyway expecting mostly below 1.48.

Well China could be buying US Treasuries in anticipation that the dollar will go up and if so, they're sitting on $$$....

at the same time they are buying other commodities but have slowed. plus they are providing more stimulus. sounds like china is printing.

A small bull failure in the bear set up , expecting double bottom at least at 83 or coninuation down towards 71/63.

No one can really gives you an answer. Can be both or neither.

If you already have a plan, stick to your plan. Else, you can come back tomorrow after the FOMC storm.

We already had 84 and 82 earlier and my candlestick on the leftmost of my 1M chart is higher than the rightmost.
