US is big importer. The food is what they can make enough for themselves, the rest is imported. Including oil. Expensive oil drives the inflation (more expensive energy, transportation etc.), unemployment is high and coupled with inflation drives consumer index down, which has adverse effect on economy. US needs strong dollar.

Hi everyone.

Since the last fibo @ 1.4620 has been easily beaten my target for EU is now 1.4865. Once there, the magic 1.50 won't be out of reach. On a daily approach there is support @ 1.4435 / 1.4310 / 1.4185.

As I said before alse Europe wants a stronger USD. Otherwise exports are impossible...
I hope for a EU around 1,3 before next summer....

not being critical, but what does US make these days to export besides weapons, aircraft, electronics, bad foreign policy and movies?
P.S> i know you're talking about imports, but this is a different question

I wrote import, not export. US produces enough crops and meat for themselves. 50% of Europe's export is to US, Asia is large exporter to US.

The weakness of dollar is due to QE policy, lots of cheap money were pumped into economy and went to the stock exchanges, including commodities (gold and oil), that is what pumping Euro/Dollar with helium.

P.S. I have an impression that the Fed guys are holding the wolf on the ears
