My technicals tell me it's extremely overextended and bounced at 1.4636 on the hourly many many times. Now that fundamentals agree, I'd focus on your stop loss.

If anything, it's going to take a few weeks if not months to get that high. You can't shock a market like that and have it stick, maybe a rogue spike but if today ends with a red candle it's a little unlikely without a few hundred pip retrace.

This pair is trading at its long term top. Expecting a reversal soon, if not already...Probably one more last hurray which will fall short of its previous top.

There's a lot of ways to look at this technically. One would be that theres a massive spike sticking out of the lower BB on the hourly at this point. Second thats a bullish breakout structure that just formed on the 5 min. Nothing's crystal clear here except I closed my long for a small profit and I'm sitting out until it breaks one way or another.

This is my first post, i would have to say that i see EU testing 1.4700 before 1.4500. Especially when looking at volume on 30M chart...after the news came out, big volume spike which may indicate an accumulation of EUROS. I am only trading long this pair. Everyone has been saying short this pair since 1.4000. I don't see big banks stepping in to short till we test 1.48-1.50 area (most SLs in that area), so till then all weak shorts will be sold to the 'smart money'.

just my opinion.

a trend line was broken to the upside yesterday at 4635 but 4h failed to close above that. that was the reason for the retracement. if for any reason 4h closes above 4635 then forget about the shorts. for me, i m long frm 4350 and i need a very strong reversal signal to exit the trade. cheers man

China needs to be smart about it. The change will happen incrementally. Any sudden move would cause them more damage in their USD holdings. Their best bet is to get out gradually to minimize losses. There could be a big pop but I wouldn't bet on it.

Lower highs on the 15m chart. I'm looking to short around 1.4620..

Chinese are way smarter than you think. If they needed to buy gold, they would buy gold mines in Western Australia and for that they needed a stronger doller. Stronger USD==> weaker gold price and once that happens chinese ppl acquiring big stakes in Australian mines.

At current level, converting dollar into gold is only going to hurt chinese economy and they are too smart to do that.
