I didn't mean that the downard spiral would stop, just that we'll experience a bit of a lull the rest of the day until Monday comes 'round. PA looks to have stopped out around S4.

Looks like that S4 reversal was accurate, I didn't expect the budget balance to be so much better than forecast though; it only popped back up to MS4. I'd look for a gap move upwards on Monday, but I didn't hold onto my buy from S4; got out @ 90.60.

Hey Guyz, I think we might see a good retracement here, at least to 91.30 before we lose bull steam. Markets are really risky the week ahead, as we DID close below 91.30 0n a daily basis, but we DIDN'T close below 90.50, hourlies are TOO OVERSOLD and the daily too, so what is the market up too?!!!!!

For me , I'm long @ 90.25 , targeting 91.30 , form there will wait for the US RETAIL SALES , if negative then dollar will get back to the game, if Positive then we're on our way to 89.70, 87.20's. GooD LucK

I ended my short here, holding my call options and looking for long spot positions. I think we might get a good entry for long at around 88-89.5 before that it looks risky. This week will be important for Dollar buyers.

daily studies has this thing going lower. I see a possible break of 90. if not the euro session, then it will be the US session.

Obama putted duties on chinese imports...this should make $ stronger, plus trend is changing if u check the 12, 13, 14 sept trend .it seems is changing! 15 sept and reatil sales will be the point for this week and for $ !!

Any idea guys? If $ goes down 90 ...this could be the start of a new and deeper downtrend! But i really dont think $ will keep on downtrending!

With huge sell-down USD/JPY last week, I doubt this week will carry on. This applies to almost every currencies. Don't you guys think so?

looking @ usd/jpy trend and chart rite now..it seems $ is doing pretty well..get over 90,72 just 5 minutes ago!
reallly weird! i guess its trend is changing..need to wait till 15 sept and Reatil Saled news! if the data will be good $ might change definetly its downtrend into uptrend! let's see...

But the movement few hours ago is gettin on my nerve, moving way too slow. haha.

Shall monitor the news coming up 1-2hr later. =)

We are targeting areas below 90, notably 89.68. This current upswing is the correction carrying over from Friday. Price action hit MR1 and bounced down; didn't even test the 1hr MA. I don't think anyone is buying the "American Recovery / Recession pep speeches" anymore either, so the coming hours shouldn't affect the market much towards the upside. DOW is already down over 60 pnts.

USD/JPY has been long overdue for a corrective action since last Friday morning, so no one should really be suprised by a close correction around the 1hr MA. The important fact is that PA didn't hit the MA, but rebounded downward approximately 10 pips away. This is is just another indication of the continued downtrend, with Stochastics and MACD getting ripe for a coming downswing. I see a possible perfect storm for a downward move in an hour or so (2-5 hrs). Will be interesting to see a possible spike in volitility after Obama speaks; I forecast a shart upswing, followed by red candles.

yes. the dollar is fighting back. its been above 91 for a couple of hours now. there has been a pullback. we'll see what happens in euro session

Only a clear break above 91.80 should be seen as potential threat to the current bearish outlook. Immediate support at 90.70 – 90.20 area. I still prefer a bearish scenario but I think it’s better to stay out for now.

with the retail sales coming in, the dollar went to 91.6. I'm getting ready to change my sentiment.
