Acctualy gator I think the "high price/lay offs" situation makes sense if you consider a "stagflation" scenario, where demand diminishes but prices still manage to go up because of dollar weakness. A situation like that cant go forever because eventualy the laws of supply demand will catch up and price will stop rising waiting for demand or go down to meet demand. But your account can easely go south in this case...just remember that the market can stay insane longer than you can stay solvent

This is harvest time. Historically, traders would take their money out of the market to buy crops to speculate on. For some reason, this cycle has continued throughout the decades, even though now we have commodities futures trading to take the place of buying the crops themselves.

Dollar is weak, but not dead yet. If we close next two or three weeks in red, we may see a trip to 1.16 before hyperinflation takes its toll. But we will do that only if stocks, oil and gold all drop or at least stall.

By the way, I got a new 9/11 conspiracy theory. You know dollar was really strong around that time, strongest in a long long time. You know what strong dollar does, hurts exporters. You know what is the biggest export article for the US...weapons. Two wars don't hurt the weapon makers either. Connect the dots.

double hit.. bin laden got what he wanted. others helped after the fact. I'm not into conspiracies. they are usually thought of after the fact. bin laden told you what his goal was ahead of time. falling towers were collateral damage from main goal. a weak dollar was in the play book.
a bankrupt u.s. was also.. he told you this ahead of time..

Here's a longer term look at what I believe will play out.

That doesn't mean days... could be weeks... wish I knew.

We are topping out but until it bends... the trend wins.

The trend is up.

I'll take a closer look later this evening but It would be nice if we see a sell off into the Asian session.

A nice long off an established support would be a high probability trade.

Let's see what happens at the open.

I can't claim my charts are accurate but I would not characterize a 35 pip gap down as "massive". I have also noticed EU is not following EJ so closely lately. Has a lot to do with the yen getting much stronger against the dollar, than the Euro weakening.
