EIA cuts world 2009 oil demand forecast

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Global oil demand through next year will be weaker than previously forecast while petroleum supplies will be higher, the U.S. government said in a revised outlook on Wednesday.
The latest forecast from the U.S. Energy Information Administration could put downward pressure on oil prices, which have more than doubled since February on hopes for an economic recovery.

1.439 is too far away, this one is gona retrace max to 1.44xx. And then new highs at 1.472. That"s my view. It is to much bullish momentum right now for a bigger retrace.

Thank you for the info! Can you point me to the new story that lists this, please? To me, it tells a lot about sentiment about the dollar out there, and I'd like to learn more.

not a head fake move has been talked about for months. i was bearish for other reasons and longer term still untill unemployment goes down. but what i think dont matter..we should go up further..if oil dont drop...but oil more then likely has to be 75pb plus to break the strong resistance on this chart. imfuo

I'll check out the video later. I have a feelings it goes higher before it goes lower. Maybe it will double top at 1.4600.

With all the supply in oil (BDI) and the summer being over wouldn't one expect oil to fall? Opec meeting is tonight, and some head hancho said he was happy with 70-75 (does that mean true value could be well below? hrrmmmm).

What's your short to mid term high?

Edit: The only thing that concerns me for the shorts is how stable it seems to be at these levels.

Reserve Bank holds cash rate steady


The Reserve Bank left the Official Cash Rate unchanged at 2.5 per cent for the third time in a row today.

Economists say recent economic pointers have been too good to ignore, though the high kiwi dollar, remained bad news for exporters.

Business confidence has improved, dairy prices have risen sharply, and the housing market has picked up, so bank economist widely expected the Reserve Bank to keep rates on hold in its six-weekly review.

yes but you could lose you ass where we are now.. wait for the high to sell or low to buy..this way you limit your sl..im not touching this thing unless that happens..easier money to be made other places..

they are not happy cause ng is so cheap.. they are afraid we will start using it. kuwait wanted 100pb not long ago. the saudis prince is smart enough to know high oil will hurt him in the long run..the others dont care. and maybe he dont either. but they have other investments that were hurt last year. this makes them care a little..russia is pumpimg all it can..

We are going to be gonig to 1.47 before any significant retrace imo. Dec 08 high's thats were supply is and that's where they want to hit the short orders
