10y treasury auction over, bad bad bad results. over 55% indirects (that means GS, JPM and cronies buy them and covertly sell them to FED later on) which is almost double the average. Yields 4.8% higher than expected (3.510% vs. Exp. 3.350%). I was thinking stock markets would tank and prop $ up this month but if tomorrows 30y auction ends just as bad, it may shoot even higher.

Don't see the results as bad, rather the contrary, good for the dollar, EU less

US Treasury sells $20 bln in solid 10-yr debt auction

NEW YORK, Sept 9 (Reuters) - The U.S. government sold $20 billion worth of 10-year debt on Wednesday in the second well-received auction of the week, boding well for an upcoming offering of 30-year bonds.

The auction was a reopening of last month's issue of bonds maturing in August 2019. Demand was robust based on the bid-to-cover ratio of 2.77, above the average of 2.58 over the last seven reopenings.

In another sign of a strong auction, the yield at the auction was below where it was trading in the when-issued market at the time of the sale, meaning dealers did not bid exceptionally aggressively to lower prices and raise yields.

Foreign and institutional investors showed good appetite based on the indirect bidder category, which accounted for 55 percent of the sale, the highest since November 2005 and above the average of 26 percent in the last seven reopenings.
