Good entries I think at 1.4325.

Wondering whether the down move could go as low as 1.413 approx.

There is (or was) a member on this thread who trades without Stop Losses.
If that person or anyone else still trades without a stop loss, will appreciate knowing your logic of doing so.

This will be a great help in my study of price / trader behavior. Thanks in advance.

I often don't use a sl & will stop out manually instead.

One more favor, why you like to do it manually? e.g.

1. Afraid of stop loss hunting
2. You don't want normal market volatility to hit your SLs before taking a definite direction against your bias
3. Once your SLs get hit, you don't get a chance of re-entering because pa does not go very far from your SL before reversing in your favor
4. Your positions are so small that even a biggest unfavorable move in a session will be within your tolerable draw-down limit
5. You believe market quickly corrects its sudden unexpected moves
6. You try to get maximum out of leverage and therefore use Margin Call as stop loss
7. Any other reason or fear for not using stop losses

i trade long term and only enter when i am really sure about it the market swings around you but the trend is always your friend i try to focus more on my money mangement 100 200 pips is nothing really you can always counter trend if you have the right possition ( size) and remember this is a marathon not a sprint.

I don't enter sl's because I don't want to lose money. If I am in a position w/o a sl it is typically in a situation where a) I am focused on trading & available to manually stop out, b) ranging, non-volatile market conditions are prevalent and I feel confident that my tp will be hit, and my tp is conservatively small and c) my position size is very small. Alternatively, I often enter a trade with an "emergency" sl, say 10x the tp value - in case there is a sudden change in pa. I can't think more than 1 time when such an emergency sl was hit. If I am scalping in volatile pa conditions I will use a sl (typically between 1:1 and 2:1 sl:tp) and those do get hit sometimes. When I scalp I am often only looking for 2-10 pips at a time.....

Gaston, thanks.

1. Do you use price levels (range) to get out and wait for next opportunity, or
2. Use this tactic "If it is not wise to remain short anymore, it is equally unwise not to go long"

If my understanding is correct, long term traders enter or exit at the "ends" and therefore if they are not long, are short (or vice versa). Please do correct me if I am wrong or you like to add to it.
