I am there buddy. Just got back after leaving within the hour after the NFP numbers
I FEEL CHEATED TODAY.
Got stopped out of a position at the exact low of today.
Plus, a back up long entry order I had at 1.4190 was not triggered by 1 pip as the low was 1.4191.
JEEZ. Luckily I made up with an automatic entry off 1.4260 with automatic TP at 1.4280, then an other automatic entry at 1.4220 for an intermediate hold, which I have just closed at it is near the weekend.
Yes, guys I set automatic trigger entries.
Still, feel cheated as the original 1st order was big, and the one missed was bigger.
Overall, sad to say this was a break even day for me, instead of being a really huge deal.
Hope others had better luck. The tracks were clear after it broke, but I wasn't going to short this on a fast moving train.

If the Dow is up 77 wouldn't that mean EU would go DOWN or are you thinking the Dow and EU will sell off and go down to DP of 4280? Thanks

Atlast, Sorry to here that....I was cheated too...I had an auto set for 4190 as well and it did not get taken in.....I looked at my screen and got excited only to see my trade was not in either!

Sorry to hear. Whoever says you don't need a little luck in Forex hasn't traded long. The really big thing that has got me feeling low before the weekend is that I had built a really lovely long position only to get stopped out at the exact pip to the low. Oh, well that's fridays for you.
Still a chance I could retire before October rather than see through the autumn trading.

Yes, I am usually right, not boasting, except today I had to be out of my trading desk. I can say this though, some of my biggest wins has been off an automatic entry intermediate term trade. An example is the one off 1.4220 which I cut as I just got back and it's near end of trading and I haven't had time to catch up with other markets, news, etc. Probably should keep it open though, but I am mainly an intraday trader, but build and hold intermediate positions when I see a clear advantage.

if it had happend yes but it did not. so it kinda shows bulls in equitys are dug in. since we did not sell off.. we actually went higher after i posted. hats off to the bulls today.

although we do have a lower high and lower low today. same thing on the week.. if nothing change and we close where we are now (current 4303) sundays pp will be lower then todays (4278) looks like the week will close lower too (aprox 4271 pp sunday with no change/ depending on close)..it aint over yet.. might be best to trade the range or dont trade at all untill s/r is broken.. i would not get married to a position.. im still selling highs..

Took a short position @ 1.43034. E/U looks to be a the top of it's range on the 1HR chart.

15m ph on s/p 1032.17.. as always s/r may trump ph. we allso have a cup formation that concurs..

sunday pp eu 4270 dp are getting lower.. 4323 was not long ago. 53 pip drop. we were at 4278 before close.
im still waiting to short at 4331

I've moved my stop up because I've been frustrated trying to trade the range. Every time it goes through my stop above the recent high, then shortly after plummets. Otherwise, the range seems to be pretty consistent as of late. Any thoughts?

Weekly Roundup:


Technically, what we have is a lot of renewed bullish interest and activity resulting from the spike down. The move down was 89 points and the countermove up was 135 points-thats bullish. Even though tech numbers suggest we move down, this upward action will more than likely spark buying interest in mid to high 4200's.

We also have a fresh penetration of the upper BB on the 1hr, which indicates the likelihood of a small move down, followed by a bigger move up, followed by an even bigger move down-or a cup formation followed by a big sell off.

RSI is in H1 descending, 30 min ascending, 15 and 5 min descending. Those smaller TF's 15 and 5 should play out to decompress this pair, extending the bull flag down to 4260-4280.

Key levels to watch on the RSI 1hr are low 50's and low 40's for reversal points. They will coincide will bid levels newly established from the recent spike up.

Once the 5 and 15 or both are pushed into oversold, RSI at low 50's or 40's, expect reversal to test recent previous high of 4346. Beating it or not beating it by a little shouldn't matter. All TF's will point down at critical selling point, and should give us a good ride down to 4200 or so.

My own trading course: Close my shorts at about 4280, and watch RSI for reversal patterning. Maybe long at 4260. Definitely short at 4335-4360.

One Note: Chart shows line drawn above 4326, high just established. Should show another one above 4346, previous high. Both are likely failure points. However, the fact that the 30 min was preserved from moving into overbought is a possible hint that we are going to test the higher one...
