S&P 500 is up.. therefore apparently the market loves the drop in loss of job but ignores the fact that unemployment rate is a new high

aha, well that's the way I started FX (see my name), but for me it does not work at all, I quickly became a scalper without bias and scince then it's fun again, mostly small losses, small gains and sometimes larger gains, but never again a correct entry and seeing gains turning to large losses.

It's prob. the (for me) high number of lots/leverage, which does not make large corrections within a choosen position acceptable.

exactly. This does not make any sense to me at all. I've gotten absolutely crushed today. I have now learned my lesson in terms of trading the NFP. Never again.

If anyone is interested take a 30 Min. chart and put an 11 and 21 EMA on. Also an 89 Smooth MA for trend of the moment. Enter when the 11 and 21 make a clear cross. A safer trade is to wait for the cross and a pullback and place stop above the last high or last low, whatever the case may be. Use 1-2% R & R and you will be fine.

Example: You want to trade .06 minis. open 2 trades at .03 with 1 trade targeting 25-30 pips and the other 100 pips. When the 1st trade hits target, you move the stop on the 2nd trade to B/E and use trail stop. Chances are it will run on. This is a good strategy and you dont have to be at your computer all day long. Used on all 4 majors.

yeah it got me. The worst part is, I saw the double bottom from around 9 to 10 yet I STILL decided to go short. I'm hoping it will come back down in the next few days because I'm on the verge of sacrificing my entire account.

I'm hoping so. If it falls to the 4280 levels where there is some resistance I can get out with huge losses, but have enough money left to continue trading. I'm just going to ride it out for right now.
