As you can see, the 2.87 - 88 area is a strong weekly - monthly support, is pretty reasonable hope for a pullback from there!

Agree this is major support ,monthly has bearish set up mind,but wary of that without break down ,overall no doubt that this year trend is up ,but overall long term trend down.
Break and close of Major support ,will dictate the trend could take more than this week if to make consolidation zone.

Nice to see your posts again , Do you see any correlation between GBPLFX and GBPCHF charts? I mean, take a look to both charts, are really pretty similars, btw, I'm waiting the right setup to short GBPCHF

I see you're bullish on GBP too, on weekly charts you could see pretty much clear the cup and handle, I'm agree, I think weekly bearish divergence is playing a lil bit, maybe the bulls are back, at least until 1.66 value, we need a close above to resume bullish trend and opens the door to 1.8xx

Weekly looks good

I think most of the market is short, which could be a good thing. When their stops are triggered we should see even more momentum to the upside.

Hey Jhon ,gbpchf view looks great from where I'm looking
yea I checked and they are very similar,never noticed before although I dont trade the gbpchf.I have no idea why mind....

Hi dt ,its certainly a possibility ,which would be great for me as for some reason I see buys much easier than sells ,lol
Love the effort and accuracy of your charts and of course I know you also like candles which would be a great addition to this thread....

Monthly tho had a harami in July and ,outside candle off falling TL,watch for break of low last month.
Be carefull of bearish candles that run into support.

Long term trend is clear reaction nice trendline to be expected I suppose ,I was watching it on the weekly and we never touched that line on the weekly.

Your chart looks like a bear flag on Monthly TF

But as you and other traders pointed, the area between 2.87 - 88 is a strong support, maybe we could see a test of 2.92 and watch closely the PA there.

Well...it's a long weekend...So here we go; A long-term Macro-view of cable. Here's a quarterly price resolution:
After bouncing off her 2001 lows in early 2009, Cable rallied sharply and subsequently met and rejected the resistance at former swing low from 2006 and various other technically significant resistances.

WB, I'm sure you'll love those resistances, brother :-)

Question now becomes What would it take to break above them? If cable doesn't manage to blast through those brick walls, then she's probably heading back down.

But if...and this is a big if...we see global recession continue subsiding significantly, as some part of Europe is said to be experiencing at the moment, the prospect for a renewed strength is again on the horizon. Should a global economic recovery become tangible, then tons of idle money currently sitting on the sidelines
will flood the markets.

To be sure, price is cyclically at a very crucial juncture at the present.

first candle black ,second indecision
the third to close at least 50% of first.

the longer the first candle the more forceful the reversal.

mind you as day traders could take a little long time to bear fruit.

that's right..it's a nice reversal off historic lows.
The 4th candle hasn't closed yet, so it remains to be seen whether price can take out overhead resistance at once or it would have to first take a breather and retest lower support area.

True GM but I think logic would say that after the strong up move quarter would would need another indecisive quarter to take out all them buyers,I really don't see 1.5 this year ,but must admit to strugging with monthlies and above ,lol

Yes its at a intresting point ,looks set to break higher ,may just bounce off the 127 if not all the way to 161.
got to trade and close over 16.200 to confirm enter new zone
