before DOW open range BO

Hi EO,

You mentioned this setup a couple of days ago.

Is this a strict def of the before DOW open range (11:15-14:00GMT) or would it enclose 1/2h before and after? Sometimes local extremes are reached before or after the specified times.

How wide is your stop on those BO trades? As sometimes after testing the range (with a confirmation candle) price goes back into it (takes out the confirmation candle) but closes outside.

Hi EO,

sorry for the confusion.

The setup was mentioned in the subject.

It's in regard to DBHLC or DBLHC.

Does there have to be a decent move before taking such setups? Because otherwise there are plenty of IB's around the edges of ranges.

Is there a certain time span or pip move before you consider a opposite setup?

What about time of the day and within ranges (Asia)?

Nothing is set in stone in regards to time, breakouts, price action, or anything. It's all based upon the movement. You will find that price does like to consolidate at certain times and when it breaks out, it can either be false or true. Higher TF S/R is always the key. I don't have a set SL on any trade. Most of the time, I don't enter with a SL (I don't recommend this), I have more of a mental SL and PA/Candle formation, that I'm watching. DBHLC/DBLHC off of Higher TF S/R is where you want to take these trades, not when it's in it's range, not right after she's broken out unless you've got a tight leash on it. The system is not that hard. Don't try and absorb it all at once, find certain setups that you like and use them for a while. As you develop as a trader, you can add more setups. Even if you only wait for the ma's to move towards the 1:00/5:00 direction and you trade with the direction and SL on the other side of your ma's you'll get green pips. Countertrend trades are not for someone new to the market or new to this system.

It's that time of day for the lull! If your not in a position and no solid pa is present to get in, go have a cocktail and relax for the next session. All of my positions are covered green and I'm not looking for a new one. I do think my EJ long could be a nice zinger trade though.
