new pivot should be in 35 range next open so ill set sl to 40 for sun open. still in green.. up 13 % for week.. if we break support i will start trading commodity pairs as well as gu.. maybe u/n if oil tanks.. un may be a good buy soon.. no hurry we got time..just depends on oil.. below 70 heading down would be nice.. guard your 401k

Thanks for the company guys. Been a roller coaster ride for me this week. Luckily still end up positive for the week cos the late move down south came as a pleseant surprise. Although still got a few trade stuck.

i never underestimate bart..standing on his head..this up move is a major trend...so it could of easily moved higher today...why did it not? major bears are moving in and they smell blood. the stock market red will bring in more bears.. but the bulls are still here and strong.. it may be best to wait till s.r is broken either way.. money in your account is a position.. bears have it now and may run it down.. but bulls are waiting around also( 4280).. they may have cancelled there pending entrys over long weekend.. 4280/4410 is no mans land for now..let em fight it out then we will see.. but even if bulls win i dont think it will stand without a pullback..i base this on oil prices.. more bulls are lower.. i have to run.. good luck

Dollar shorts will begin covering in a big way, soon.

I will be surprised if the equity markets don't have a good sell off on Monday or probably Tuesday.
Okay, they might prolong the inevitable for a day of two into 1st week of September,
so the numbers for August are made to look like something they're really not,
but that's like what ? Tuesday or Wednesday ? Same thing.
Maybe that's the ticket. NFP comes out this Friday.

How easy it would be to have a rush for the exits get underway.
Why it didn't happen today, the last Friday of the month, is even a little puzzling.
I figure if you're expecting it, it's less likely to happen. So expect the unexpected ? Dunno.
I cite one reason below:

For practically most of this summer the BSD's have been buying, holding, buying some more.
They are professionals. They've spent years learning how to do nothing.

Unless they trade their own account, and many still do, they get paid out based on performance.
End of the month, and in some cases, end of the fiscal quarter accounting arrives at the close of business Monday.

That's one reason markets may stay in hover mode until the clock strikes.

If the markets go, the Dow, the S&P, the euro, probably the oil, not sure about gold, and anything else
tied to an index, average, or managed fund could go kaflooey.

The Treasury market, the Dollar(short covering), maybe some end of month yen repatriation, put it all together,
what should that spell ? A big fat candle. At least one, and most likely prior to NFP,
which should give us another big fat candle. On everything. All the charts.

Gold, I'm uncertain because if it gets out of hand, ppl could run buy gold, even if the Dollar got a boost.
That's unusual, but when it happens it's because there's so much money out there and
some go for bonds, others go for precious metal, some just park it in cash.

I'll say this now and we'll just have to wait to see, but I think we're geared up for one of those
300/400 pips weeks in the majors, with atleast one of those days in the week itself being a 300 pips day.
Cable maybe a nickel, OZ/KIWI/CAD same thing - big moves. And I don't think it can wait until Friday.

Alright, that's all the "predicting" I have for now. It's only worth something if it can be converted into pips.

EDIT: I looked back for those who will say, "...400 pips, big deal, dude. It does that every week.."
Let me clarify. A 300/400 pip weekly range IS COMMON, but a 300/400 pip DIRECTIONAL MOVE,
like 2 or 3 percent one way in a pair as liquid as Euro, not happening lately.

Here are the NET CHANGES FOR THE LAST 12 weeks (since start of June, week over week)
For the EURUSD: +43,-75,+128,-84,-41,+166,+100,+50,-81,+26,+130,-25 for an average weekly move of 79 pips.
In those 3 months it is up about 300 pips or so all together, based on this last close.
Say a 140 price then is now is 143. That's how it is right now, for what it's worth. It's summertime.
