AHH ok was making sure i didnt check out a wrong time frame.

Ill continue to backtest a couple different options over the weekend...overall my first week of forward test netted me over 200 pips. Not bad at all!

My Long AU worked out perfectly last night all 3 TP targets hit.

I trade it like all the other pairs are traded. I am backtest/forwardtesting a few different pairs.
I am doing this because i want to give myself different options every day

IE: Last night the commodity pairs really did well during the LON session while GU and GJ both kinda sat sideways for a while till NY. So last night i checked which currancy was the strongest and AUD & CAD both came out on top so i decided to check out GBP/CAD and AUD/USD.

I think next week im going to start forward testing 2 pairs a night and to determine those pairs i will find out what currency is the weakest and what is the strongest then pair them up. This way moves are stronger and my targets are hit much fast vs waiting and risking a SL.

hope some of this makes sense

Genius, Have you tried 15M chart?
'cause my forward testing result 15M is better than 30 M.
I even setup MT4 side by side, mine is also FXDD.
Simple is powerful all the time.

Interesting, but how do we set the number of bars (EA setting)? If we using 3 hours box, like 2-5 GMT.

I am not even thinking of 4 hours at all myself for the breakout 2-5, I had the charts in 4hrs since they are created as default and I didn't realise them when I added the EA. I did switch them to 15mins now.

u need to count the no. of bar urself
if using 15M TF and include the last bar which is 5:00 to 5:15 one...
then will be 13 bars

it will be 23:30 to 04:00
and the modelling quality is n/a
mismatch is high

Hi wltam,

are you able to explain to me how the stop loss works with this EA? I am trying to back test, but not sure how it works out the stop loss? How does it calculate the stop loss with the stop loss range and the stop loss factor? Also the buffer?
If you could let me know how that works it would be great. Love the EA though. Back tests well just not sure about the stop loss!!!!

Stop loss range
the max. of SL ...say 60, if the box larger than 60, the SL will set 60pips rather than the range of the box

stop loss factor.
say 0.764, i dun take the whole box for my SL, i use size of the box * 0.764 as my SL

buffer for Stop loss
normally you take the bottom of the box as SL, add buffer for SL, say 10, it will be bottom -10 as SL for BUY ORDER

took Genius 2-5GMT breakout today..going short..TP1 hit..still going for the TP2..

edit:just hit 60pip TP2 gbp/usd..another gr8 day..
