The excuse as offered by the various "news" agencies was that the oil inventories had a big decline, offering evidence that the economy was picking up. Bullshit. The oil inventories are totally manipulated & the oil companies can report whatever figure they want to in order to suit their purposes. Hang Seng down 10+% in the last week? A little help? Ok issue some bogus inventory data, jack up the oil price, & prevent a further slide in the world...

News and gossip. Before the recent rise all we heard was that China's markets were going down the tubes..News seems to correlate to the extent that big money interests want it to, unless its something so big that nobody can control or manipulate it, like the stuff that went down last year...this is my thinking anyway.
