Let's have some post trade analysis. Looking at the 1hr chart, it looks like the cloud is a little thick. If I was going for a long -when we enterd-I would have been concerned about the resistance. I guess that would have been my target.

Vic, do you normally get 50 pips?

With forex, there's nobody to boss me around and I am fully responsible for my own success and failures. And that's a very liberating way to live your life IMHO! That freedom is taken away by the habitual cycle of the 9-5 routine....its a routine, and routine is killer. It kills your creativity and makes you live inside the Box, and somehow along the way as you strain in between shifting through those pages of tax law and pretend to be socially subservient to the Bosses while secretly curseing them while their back is turned in between your daily cups of coffee you start to lose a bit of your SOUL...No matter what job you're in this is the common reality...

But forex is a way out. It may not be THE way out of the vicious cycle, but I feel it is one of the better ways out. How else is it possible to turn $2000 into $1M in 2-3 years? Banking your cash with Rabobank at 7% annual return...? Investing in rental properties...? I don't think so. Ultimately, the issue is about personal freedom; becoming free again, having the real choice to do what you want to do in life, and I don't think the traditional ways of investment can do that for you.

Life = having the freedom to live.

Having the freedom to live = Having choice.

Having choice = having (time and) money.

Having money = forex.

Therefore, forex = life.

Haha...rant over.

I couldn't have said it better. I have a problem with authority. At least you weren't working for da man, hastling people that are in a hurry to get to work..writing tickets. I felt like an actor when my fellow officer would get fired up to arrest someone and they would high five and act like idiots. I used to make people tell me the truth and I would let them go with a warning. Anyway.....law enforcement sucks. It's a good way to ruin a marriage.

yes we have a big cloud on the 1Hr chart and this is a good reason to stand aside now , also i usually get my 50 pip cause the EUR JPY range is around 100 between R and S so when we have a confirmation on the 5 mins it simply tells us the 30% of the 100 are over so i go for 50 pip and leave the other 20 hehe

but each pair has it own rules , so if you are going to work with another pair you have to keep an ye on it for a while to be familiar with the ranges and teh average moves each day

I knew there was a method to your madness! I'm still evaluating which pairs I should watch. Spread plays a part with my selection.

spread with my broker:

4 eur/jpy
9 gbp/jpy
3 us/jpy
2 eur/us
3 us/chf

us/cad is 5 and a lot of the others are 4 to 5. It's like they want you to trade eur so you get bogged in a range.

Wise man , you are a wise man my friend, i totally agree with every single word , i am the Boss of me , at the end of each day i set down with maself talking about my faults trying ti find a way to avoid them, thank myself for every winning . if someone else was my boos he will only talk with me about faults and more over he will just blame me and never think of how to help me to avoid them .

I go with the EUR JPY , 4 pip spread is fair enough the pair offers good moves around the day , moreover i have been following it for like a year now so i think it is one of the best pairs in the market and it follows the ichi rules like crazy

I like eur jpy too, it is not as dangerous as gbpjpy. I like to keep screens up on the eur/us, gbp/us, eur/jpy, and us/jpy. Correlation reasons. Cable pulls on euro etc. I figure it is not a bad idea to check them out. It also keeps me calm when I have a little drawdown.

i used to do the same , but after i started to use Ichi i figured out that no need to worry about any other pair , cause if we got a signal here for sure there will be a signal there , so i go with the signal and it might win might lose, but it is ok for me

I think it is the best way as you say-learn a pair. I can agree with that and I will be watching the eur/jpy. If you traded another pair, which one would it be?

I've had people tell me to pick a commodity currency to learn. I watched cad and I learned that when it starts trending it does not want to stop. lol

What is your other favorite pair?

The journey to become a Master of FX is IMO a worthwhile pursuit from different angles. Because from end-target perspective, it represents the fight for individual freedom (for me anway and i suspect most little guys like us) which we've already discussed above.

At the same time, the journey itself requires you to "live in the moment". Because there is no other way to trade. You cannot trade the past or trade the future. "Now" is the time you wait and analyse. "Now" is the time you enter. "Now" is the time you exit. I mention this because life is about living in the moment, and in today's crazy world too many people forget this simple little thing.

The journey is difficult because it requires you to master yourself, because it is intellectually + emotionally + physically demanding of you. I'd say that the struggle is a good thing. No one said it's gonna be easy and $$$ will be handed to you on a golden plate. Life is not like that and you wouldn't want it to be like that anyway. Only by being tested with fire will you be able to turn your character into hard steel.

Now I'm getting carried away, sorry folks. To conclude, your destiny is in your own hands peoples. Fight the good fight, keep up the good work and let's continue to better ourselves.

yes you are correct when they start changing direction this is an early signal for a trend change

but i like to leave Ichi with no more adds on u can lean on it standing alone ,no need to add any other lines , you just go with the strong signal and it will be ok

i'll never leave my Lovely JPY hehe , i work with a japanese system so i trust the JPY more than any other pair , as long as am in forex will stuk with JPY and if i made a fortune i'll go with Gold or crude Oil or may DOW , S&P , who knows!!!

Yes i consider it a fight , if you remember my first post i said i go fight with a Japanese Sword , and as long as am alive i'll keep fighting.
to avoid my feelings i lean on the system so whatever happens in the market i don't care as long as i see no signal , once i see the signal i go with it without feelings without thinking , i'l not enter the market even if Obama himself told me to do hehehe.
this market is not that easy but when one masters it he will mak millions very easy , the same as we make 10$ out of 5 cents

HI VIC, HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING ALONG IN THE BACK ROUND, i KNOW ITS KINA OF TOPIC BUT NO ONE COMENTED ON KINKO'S SYSTEM, AND IT WAS HIS FIRST POST ON THE FORUM.. HOW DID YOU IMPUT THOSE NUMBERS INTO KINJUN..?
