GU M15: A remark about volume....the last white relative volume spike was for a candle that closed near its high. This is bullish. If the candle closed down from high, maybe near middle, then that might be a sign of 'pump and dump'. This looks like a trade setup, but you never know when it happens in the Asian session, esp. EARLY in the session. I'd feel better with price over the main pivot.

GU M15: Yesterday I remarked about possibly trading the retrace to the quick and large drop, and that maybe the previous day's low would be a viable target (black line on chart). This is how I see the possible trade setting up......

After Sonic posted his revelation about price patterns maybe there are some that would like this pattern recognition indicator to learn patterns with.

This is not something anyone should rely on, it simply shows you the candles and explains what they are and alerts you when it finds one. You still need to know how to use this information so, I recommend anyone who does not know what these patterns are go over to Babypips and learn them.
It will certainly be well worth the effort to do the short study courses over there as I did. http://www.babypips.com/school/

I would put it on a separate chart, not your sonic chart and use it as a guide not as an almighty signal to jump in a trade.

I am in on GU after that Bullish engulfing candle confirmation.
Early in the day, I know but as T said, it looks like volume is coming into the trade.

Anyway, I have to start showing my trades more and less after the fact analysis.

I have found that SonicR set-ups in Asia are as reliable as any. Now, you do want to take the right ones - buying a choppy rally or shorting a choppy decline tends to be a bad move whether Asia, Europe, or US session.

Here is my EJ long. This is a demo trade (I am trying out a new paltform as I have to change brokers). I included both a standard SonicR MT4 chart as well as the Oanda chart.

I entered late (133.36). EP should have been 133.20. First TP should be 133.70 (+50) and TP2 should be 134.10 (+90), SL should be 132.77 (-53).

First target was just hit, so SL would now be at BE with +50 pips in the bank, and gunning for +90, for a final trade average of +70 if hit. If SL at BE is hit, then trade is average +25.

Again, this is a demo trade. It will probabably be two or three days before I am trading real money again.

This is my last nite trade... It still opens.
Tight ranging expected as Bull/Bear fighting over n over..and we can expect the break out when UK opens..

This trade may well fail as it is going against the H1 & H4 tf.

Only glad to be of assistance Sonic, instead of a pain. LOL

I am also glad you condone the indi as I was a bit worried, you may not like it.

I thought it may help new people to get to learn or at least encourage them to learn candlestick patterns.

Not that Sonic needs this indi but, I suppose it is usefull in the sense that it will warn us of a pattern with an alarm so we don't have to keep looking at another chart quite so much.

If your analysis calls for a trade, then the trade does not fail. Another trader I know always says, "Win or lose, it is an excellent trade." He means that so long as he takes the trades and manages the trades in accordance with his plan, then it does not matter if the trade wins or loses. It is a good trade, and good trades can only win or lose, they can not fail. This was one of the little adjustments I made to my own psychology that has helped me a lot.

And, if I may say, Rastaman,it sounds as though you are thinking too much, and looking for a reason to bail early. If that is your trading plan, may I strongly suggest that you change it to the SonicR plan: Trade the waves, and let price determine whether or not your TP's are hit or your SL is hit.

Hello Basber,

Could you please post yours with your settings and instructions how to change the settings. I am unable able to get the weekly on mine. Also do you place it on both your 15 min and 4 Hr TF.

I think you hit the nail right on the Head there, and yes I agree 100%.
The reason I took this trade is exactly as you said, I am trying to change my psychology, so that I am not afraid of making a decision and sticking by it, good or bad. I must learn to make my own decisions and accept the results without going or or !

I am keeping my eye on the resistance levels and tp1 probably around 30 pips.

M15 still holding above Daily pivot and 50 fibo getting retested.

I hope your Broking challenges will be resolved soon.
I saw some great setup in the Asian session today on The gu , Eu and EJ but did not take them because of the rule. You seem to do well in this session . Are you more cautious here or do you risk the same as in the NY and London session?

Yes, I am committed to watching this play out.
That said, if we look at the D1 it appears this could be the start of the shoulder on a massive H&S.
So, I think tp may need to be kept short.

Any thoughts on this?
