We're below the daily pivots on most everything (exception is dollar/canadian).

Me thinks the sellers are lurking about, just not showing their hand quite yet.
14100 is probably the river card for today, or could be 14070. If we see either of those,
I think the tone will be set and those reluctant shorts could inch their way out of the shallow water.

If not,...
And the News looks quite thin to stir anything up

Little bit of a double bottom there at the 14141. Possible 60's then 81...it's a midpoint.

oh yea, one more thing...

Aud seems to be leading the crown currencies and it looks like 5 clean waves down since thursday's ny close.
Corresponds to Friday morning in Sydney when RBA Gov. Stevens made his speech.
That could be good for a slight retace going into London. But certainly slight.
I think profit takers are waiting to pounce on that pair not too much beyond 8300/20
and that could weigh on Euro, plus bode very well for the EUR/AUD pair if 172 can take hold and 170 doesn't fail.

So I'm watching OZ for EURO clues at the moment.

Let's not forget Yen still makes for mean competition amongst all these pairs.
If we forget him, he will no doubt do something to remind us he's still there...

If I correctly remember, that poster mentioned some date of 2006 when it was not filled in a week's time. I am not sure about the number of pips, but it may not completely fill. I normally see a difference, if any, of not more than 2 to 3 pips remaining unfilled. I personally don't use exact figures just an approximation - for two reasons 1) Forex is not an exact science, and 2) My TPs are a bit conservative and SLs have some cushion.

Plus I try to use more than one tool for a positon e.g if my trendline breaks at a point would also consider the next round number and nearby horizontal resistance/support. In other words, I try to double stitch my positions to have some safety net. If a move meets these criteria good, if not, either wait for a better one or enter with a fraction of normal position. For example I should long now above 1.4150 but it does not meet my criterion of horizontal support which would be at 1.4165. If I have to go long, should not enter below 1.4165. But I am out, waiting for London session to get the day's direction. If I decide to go long, my target would be 1.4240 because my resistance TL is between 1.4250 and 1.4280, and I would be little conservative at 1.4240 i.e. "leave first and last few pips for others" rule.
