IF this is the real bull move, consolidation at 4343 put a possible pt at 4460. if consolidation happens at 4347 a possible pt of 4773. just 4 pips between. so we have to pay attention.. imfuo with the usaul stops. will build another model if needed.. to see what path we follow..

It's a bit of a slow news day at the moment isn't it. I tried trading the Asian session a couple of days ago and just wasn't very comfortable with it.

Anyway, just out of curiosity: any traders here managed to hit the $1M mark from a ridiculously small starting account? Tell us your success stories...and road bumps along the way...

At the rate of 5% per month, it takes 11 years and 10 months to grow an account of $1,000 to $1 million.

ps. I am in my 3rd month, will keep you posted on progress.

Haha... well I've been working on it for about 2.5 years now (only went live with a $250 account in April) after learning and demoing previously. The day I found out that my Dad made $4000 trading Gold over 6 hours I thought "WTF is this $*%^?!". Then began a steep learning curve into the world of forex. In that time, Dad has lost $20,000 twice over ($1300 of which I was responsible for...haha) he was freakin devastated by that - took him about 3-4 months to recover his confidence. So ingrained is that experience in my psyche that I'm always now more conservative than I otherwise would have been.

I've got to say that since going live my learning has grown exponentially, due to the real-life stresses that real trading has over monopoly money. Getting roasted by real losses has definately hardened me up more in terms of the emotional and money management department.

I still find the more I progress the more I realise there is an enormous amount of technical and fundamental analysis I still need to learn, so I think I know 'what I don't know' at this stage but its obvious to me there's a lot to go. (Bored at work but enough ranting, let the journey continue)

This is called a simple calculation. But many will restart after wasting 11 years in an effort to bring this timeframe down to 11 months and 10 days. This is where many fail.

I know, because I am one of those manys.
