I'm also done for tonight. 3 poorly timed trades, offset by 1 risky trade which worked. Overall down 0.6% which isn't too bad I guess, considering the damage it could have been!!!

The only thing I learnt today is (a) do not deviate from my trading strategy even if I'm under fire; and (b) get faster at accepting that I am wrong on my losing trades and getting the F out quicker.

i got 2 pending orders i will mange and maybe change tp later if im in front pc..got a long at 4312.5 sl 4296 tp 4444 another short 4444 sl 44452 tp 4400.. like i said tp subject to change. i considered another at 4337 long with sl 4310 and tp 4444. taken a nap so decided against it..

I just open the market and see my first take profit is hitted at 1.4340..
now stop moves to 1.4390 and the rest lot run till 1.4140..

something to consider usd/index crossed above 77.91 the fib just above my estimated low of 77.37 where i thought we may bounce. short term.. we got as low as 77.41.(missed by 4). so we may be able to hold this until nfp.. nfp could change everything either way. short and longer term! its possible nfp will be higher then my 350k expected much higher...

Let me ax you gator, how big a deal is NFP day to you? Just another day, or a major trading event? I know some experienced traders stay away....

fwiw, I expect NFP # higher than forecast and a drop in the E/U of 100+ pips. But do I have the cojones to trade it that way? probably not....

could be the biggest day of the year. could be null...depends on JOBs. if we get over 400k lookout below. above 467k get a paruchute on the same token if better then expected where back to 1.4444 and more then likely well above... its 328k extimated. much below this and we blast off... plus you have to take into account the statment revisions ect. they could raise last months number or lower it..

remember we just had earnings and they were better then expected mostly. they did this by cutting cost. in other words they cut jobs..time will tell.. unless in already in with green locked in ill trade reaction after the dust settles..unless its huge.

when big corps cut jobs they many times give severance pay. it may cover a month or many months.. these people are not included in unemployment roles until pay period runs out.. so with last quarters cost savings.. some are just getting on job loss roles.
