If I were bullish, I would be treading very carefully here. Friday was a perfect storm of tight liquidity, monthly closeout, and the summertime. It didn't take much for stops to get triggered and push the pair all the way up to topside resistance in a matter of hours. This past week's C.O.T. report shows a mini-exodus out of riskier assets by larger traders (mainly S & P 500 and oil) while retail traders were possibly responsible for the push higher in equities (volume was incredibly light on positive days for equities this week.) I always try to stay on the side of the big boys.

My E.W. count shows this last move as a W.5 out of a W.4 consolidation, which leads to either a reversal or a sizable 3 wave correction. I'm aligning myself with the bears here.

Thoughts? I love differing opinions since I'm not totally convinced of the mid and long term direction of the Euro here. Good luck to all this week.

Hi,

It's been a while since I posted here. Nice to see this thread is active like the FX market. Just to throw my oppinion here for EUR/USD & GBP/USD. From seeing the stock market for EUR ,GBP. I would say it would be a nice rollercoster u turn heading south.

There has been a number of gap they yet to be closed in the stock charts before it heads north again. Also seeing the GBP/usd in 4H charts I see a triple top but as always, people see what they want to see.

To be more accurate, the big traders have been leaving over the past few weeks, not necessarily just this week.
