yes punting in educational direction can be the word...or it can be called educational guess
gussing is part of life...i can just guess that i would be alive till the day end but i am not sure...
If you are buying or selling a pair, it is betting, once you move your stoploss above break-even you are now a bookmaker (because no matter what happens, you will not lose). Betting with the intention of making book to me is not punting, yes, it does involve an element of punting, but the intention behind is to make the book not take a wild chance. Bookmaker get rich slowly, but punter either get rich quickly or go broke.
Similarly finding an edge in trading and trading according to your rules is bookmaking not punting.
This is my definition and interpretation, I don't expect the whole world to agree with this and they won't.

or do they paint a red X on the dead road kill to warn motorest not to run over the dead animals. maybe they could put a reflector on them for night driving.. OR a little off the wall.....just drag it off the road without painting the X. *L*

ok i see the picture... but why in puk did someone put a big red X on the bear.. did they catch it first, paint an x on it then try to run it over using the x as a target?:
