I closed my longs too for a little profit. The way this support has formed kind of irks me, a high arching parabolic. I feel like it might sell off to 4144 and find support again. Maybe it won't but thats a typical course for downmoves of this type.

Steve, these are closing hours. I normally stay away from low volume sessions.

Yep time to call it quits. I've been trading for 15 hours. Best single session I've had in 7 weeks. Made a weeks worth of pips.

Just to add to what Pollux said, countries move their currency in a direct way by intervening or changing their reserve portfolio, however, most of the time they move their currency in an indirect way by adjusting (or talking about adjusting) interest rates. The yield differential attracts currency investments when the market is not focused on risk. Otherwise, money flows back to "safety" in the lower yielding currencies. In addition to inflation and debt, governments of some countries (particularly exporting countries) monitor the exchange rate to make sure their economic health isn't getting hurt too much by an extreme exchange rate. In 2008 the extreme strength of the Yen was hurting Japanese exports. The market finally caught on with Japanese intervention threats and sold Yen (went long USDJPY).

Economic stability. A central bank rarely speculate on currency (especially on nation's one). They trade mostly to accumulate reserves so they can protect for a limited period their currency when dealing with inflation/deflation. Also, forex may be used by some commercial banks to get the best possible price for their clients.

Edgaras, you are right. Economic factors take percedence over TA. I call it "EF over TA".

I will go with Chinese, wherever they go. They have more money to buy and sell than anyone else has.

Now the quesion is: Where to find these Chinese and know more about their intentions?

Is there any Chinese member onboard? Plz.................help!!
