Morning all. Surprised see my shorts still in play ,now target chanced to 1.42 and the diamond also working properly. should burst by 3hrs or so with frankfort & london open perhaps .

It is them too possibly. I didn't see any massive selling actually, just last week we see below 1.415 but it is quickly rebounded. And fyi, when we touch 1.429 last week, forexlive said it is china who were the seller from there. So this is really their playground currently with massive reserve foreign currency they practically can dictate the market if they wanted to. It just my opinion, to be honest i've been following any talks when China's stepped in, well it's been very wonderful .
not really in the manipulation therory.. but if it could be done it would be easier when most equitys markets were closed. like last weeks low/ then spike.. just after microsoft earnings reports earnings report.. three trillian a day market wont move much with a few billion bucks either way but if you do it at the right moment in time you can stretch those billions.(if the chinese use 100s of billions then thats another story). like i said it would be easier and much cheaper to manipulate currency like the nigerians do.. blow up a pipeline ect.. they dont even have to blow one up... all they have to do is say the rebels blew something up. the oil nations know its easy to manipulate oil (false bs) and in turn the currency moves.

gator, essen .. i am always very interested in fundamentals ... can i ask why do the countries move currency? what are the usual reasons?

Economic stability. A central bank rarely speculate on currency (especially on nation's one). They trade mostly to accumulate reserves so they can protect for a limited period their currency when dealing with inflation/deflation. Also, forex may be used by some commercial banks to get the best possible price for their clients.

4337 is on the radar.. the question is . does the bulls have the balls.. the balls in their court. I am not sure if that is entirely correct, since the US central bank aren't doing anything to affect the currencies while Japan banks are highly controlling it...
