How good ? Well, Bernard Madoff is in jail sentenced to 150 years.
There is a wave of money managers getting the book thrown at them
these days. Will likely be many more going the same way.

George Soros has never been convicted of anything criminal,
although accused of pulling off all kinds of shit. No jail. It won't happen.
Nor is it likely that he will ever face criminal charges for anything he's ever done wrong.
I imagine people sue him every day of the year, but that's a matter for civil courts.
He's too well connected and is seen as a Robin Hood that takes from here and gives to here.
Unless he pisses off the wrong people, he's a golden child and won't be touched.
Some have already tried but he's still standing. Worst that is likely to happen is
he'll pay out some more money. He can do that all day long.

There were American companies that collaberated with the Nazis during WWII,
large fortune 500 companies still in business today, who, after 60 years
still have not come forward with the details of their involvement.
These companies have too much at risk and could lose everything if
the truth were to ever come out. It's likely it won't until enough time passes
that it becomes an excercise in history, like slavery in the United States or similar issues.

I say it's a waste of time to to chase Soros.
He's going to keep making his money anyway.
Let him do what good he can do for anyone who might benefit.

Someday, he'll be out of time and leave this world and
if he can do anything positive with the money until then,
a children's hospital or something good, then do it.

You can be benevolent and wicked at the same time, right ?

Okay people, it's really kinda simple (doesn't make it easy though):

Higher highs or lower lows. That's what makes a trend.

Higher highs, already had plenty of that.
23-7-09 (thursday) printed what could be a breach of support.
followed on Friday by what so far is a lower high.

A break of 14100 gives us a lower high and 2 lower lows.

That would be bearish.

A break of 14300 would suggest the the bulls are still trying to play.

If the break is not sustained, however and it gets strongly rejected
as PA displayed for most of last week, it would mean no change in
the market's sentiment and we'd likely continue to get more ping-pong.
albeit with a slightly higher handle. Or a full-blown sell-off could errupt.

Only a sustained break above 14300 would trigger concentrated interest
from the collective market. The same thing will be true when 13800 prints.
If it can't desicively move below 138 and stay there, we could get more ping-pong.

That would be terminal to the entire move up since this summer began.
I still believe we are in Big 4th wave consolidation with extended time period and often unpredictable as the nature of this wave .
1.If it break below 1.43 to the level expected ( _ 600pips or at least 1.3728 ,top of wave 3) then the total bullish nature of the present market will be intact .

2.otherwise it can go above 1.43 till 1.4343 and break again & fail to UP with massive impulse 3 UP then there will be a very big 5th wave failure or double top and big A wave ,say 50% retracement be to 1.3415,61.8% 1.3165.

3.If continues to up ,when D wave already reached before & price in already the impulse wave 5, at wave 2 then it can retrace safely to 1.4175/ 1.4091 & then impulse wave 3 of 5th can start again.

so breaks below this 1.4091 should be considered going actually down and above 1.4343 should be up.inbetween undecided , that also possible & waste time again a week or 2 if it corelate perfectly with oil then there seems it need to halt & have some sideways to form a handle & try bull up again in small time frame but though movements are more clean yet final down to D ( the turning point ) still expected there in daily tf. same and more clearer in GJ also ,wave bc still to over.

Anyway this is cretical time to trade any ( gambling )before any clearer direction seen.

Now that I think about it, the move on Thursday looks like the reaction
to the 442 Billion Euro liquidity injection we talked about last nite might
have a delayed reaction going into this next week, as July is coming to an end.

As the weekend drew near, maybe the timing was as such to prevent
too much selling before those with a need to move something could do so.

Okay weekend's is over, back to work. What 'cha gonna do with all those Euros boys ?

The US Treasury’s announced last week that it will sell a record $115 billion in bonds next week in a bid to help finance the rapidly growing public deficit, pushing 10-year notes to register the largest daily loss in nearly seven weeks and sending yields to the highest level in a month.
Many believe that the US Dollar will benefit as the government floods the market with new debt: Treasury prices will head sharply lower, putting tremendous upward pressure on the long-term interest rates. This will make USD-denominated assets attractive to yield-seeking investors, driving demand for the greenback.

Because the Euro is the second-most traded currency after the greenback, it often serves as the de-facto anti-Dollar, with short term studies showing a hefty -85.8% correlation between average indexes of the two units’ values. Meaning that any real turn in sentiment in favor of the US Dollar will weigh heavily on the Euro, not just in the pairing against the greenback but also against other currencies.

How 'bout this ?

If this is still that monster triangle some of us talked about a few months ago,
we've got three waves up already and a 5th wave wouldn't be needed,
unless for a topping out wave that belonged to a C and should be minimal.

So then another (final) touch of the triangle bottom would be due
in three waves, heading to a level that is so far away right now,
it's not worth looking at it yet. The entire 124 - 143 measurment would
be at front and center, looking for the objective between 618 and 786
of that giant move. 886 retracement could even print if pullback was extreme.
To translate: that would be more than 10 percent move for Euro Dollar.

Blows my mind how a triangle could ever be that big.

It was a low probability outcome back then, but we've had some threes
print into the pattern since then and it still has the opportunity to develop.

Again, probability is not high, but if it ended up that way we'd all kick ourselves later
for not going, " Hey that was obvious, why didn't I see that ?"

Hindsight is atleast 20/20.

The US data calendar is relatively busy and kicks off with new home sales on Monday. The Case-Shiller home price index and consumer confidence reports are up Tuesday while Wednesday brings the all-important durable goods report and the Fed Beige Book. Thursday sees the usual weekly initial jobless claims. Friday rounds out the week with the first cut of 2Q GDP and the Chicago purchasing managers index. The earnings season remains hot in the week ahead as well with about 150 S&P 500 companies slated to report.

It is a pretty typical week in the eurozone. Monday starts things off with French jobseekers data, German import prices and the German GfK consumer confidence survey. The highlight on Wednesday is the release of the ECB's bank lending survey and we also see French producer prices and German consumer prices that day. Thursday has the eurozone business climate survey, eurozone consumer confidence and German employment lined up. Friday has eurozone consumer prices and eurozone employment.

The UK calendar is on the light side. The Hometrack housing survey starts things off early on Sunday. Wednesday has net consumer credit and mortgage approvals on tap while Thursday ends the week with the GfK consumer confidence survey.

Japan's week is just modestly busy. Retail trade kicks things off on Tuesday while small business confidence and industrial production are due Wednesday. The highlight on Thursday is the employment report and we also have household spending and consumer prices slated for that day. Friday rounds things out with housing starts.

Canada sees an extremely slow week and industrial product prices on Thursday and GDP on Friday are the only noteworthy events.

The calendar down under is on busy side. New Zealand trade numbers kick it off on Monday and this will be followed by New Zealand building permits, Australian leading index and Australian business confidence on Tuesday. Wednesday sees New Zealand business confidence and the RBNZ interest rate decision. Australian building approvals are due up Thursday while Australian private sector credit rounds out the week on Friday.

Hell no - most of my trades were taken weeks ago around 39.

If price passes 370 - I'll become a bear is all I meant, but if it gets much below 41 I'll go flat.

Tell me something.... If your drop dead point is 14302 and your BE is 14155,
would it not make some sense to give yourself a little room to breathe ?

Not trying to pee on your party, man. But, if you booked a 50 pip loss
on half here,
you could withstand another 140pips upto 14440~ for a chance to see 14100 and still BE
with a +50 on the other half. You could squeeze some pips up at the top end of the range
if you had available margin, but if it's an "all-in" situation, you're kinda trapped
and at the mercy of the market (aren't we all ?) with no options past 143.

Or just book a loss on the trade if you don't feel right about it.
Make up the pips on the next one. Or if you got it in your gut
that we're testing 138, then you wouldn't be worried about it.

Don't try to second guess yourself. If you have a plan, stick with the plan.
Win, lose or draw. The only way you can really lose is to not have a plan
or to have one and then not stick to it. If this was not planned, then you've lost
no matter how this trade turns out. Having no plan is inviting the inevitable disaster to visit you.
If not this one, then one of these trades will summon the devil.

Why risk ruin ?

Does that make any sense ? Or maybe I'm goofed up somehow.
What do you think about something like that ? Too conservative ?
