I think this was the reversal with that doji on the 1h chart, so we going heading towards hourly support. May want to get out I don't what your time frames are, GL though.

Sure... right now the trend is up and counter trend trading is risky but...

Some thoughts...

Very fragile bull.
.4300 is options barrier and we saw massive sell off yesterday near that level
Most likely scalping.
80% of the time you will see a 10-20 PIP pull back off any pivot level.
It's Friday... do the big dogs really want to risk buying at a top.

Either way... the trend is only one factor when deciding to pull the trigger.

Very true, and that's exactly what I was thinking. I do have a time element thing that I look at as well and it too was doing what I expected, so that plus the pivot point gave me confidnece that it would move down--although I didn't know how far down--I expect that it will go somewhere closer to the central daily pivot.

I missed this trade though because I was looking for a better risk to reward ratio. (I didn't sell exactly at R1 because I was stupid basically)..I should have and have decided to alter my system so that I'm selling very close to the pivot point. I wanted it slightly higher for risk to reward purposes and because I expected a breach and then bounce off the R1 pivot.

Anyway, as mentioned above, I'll be looking to sell closer to the pivot point instead of being greedy and hoping that it breaches by a certain amount without closing above the pivot on the 1hr time frame.

well, you're doing the right thing... I usually put my sell limit before it touched R1... As the result, I lost a bunch when it breaks and didn't cover my profit... I think I should follow your patience
