It seems that game is over.The bullish atack to 1.43 it's already history.
IMHO 1.38 is not so far.

This is what I was pondering - EUR has done a range of 172 pips this week (low of 1.4094 and high of 1.4276). The average weekly range for the last 8 weeks (since we entered this consolidation period) has been 313 pips. So if the high for the week has been hit we should end the week around 1.3963. If the high hasn’t been hit and we continue to go up (and it does the average weekly range) we should be heading for 144.17.

Well we didn't get 1.4339 and with this current PA, I'm looking for a down day for Friday to achieve the average weekly range. Gold is going down, US futures are currently red and crude looks like it has topped out. It will be interesting to see which way the Asian indices go. For the last two years, around this time, it wasn't favourable for the carry trade either. I think the USDX is due for a bounce and we had a gap on Sun/Mon which they could try to fill Friday.
Nothing worth having is easy.

Essenza, What you do I think is one of the many right ways of trading. When people talk about consistency, they sometime forget about the consistent pip range. This should also be consistent. Lesser the pip range better, more opportunities, immune from effect of economic uncertainties and trades can be placed on the basis of PA reading alone. However, pip range should not be too narrow as compared to spread. People have different opinions and methods, but I find this one more profitable and less risky.

thats why I shorted some USD/CNY, remember what hapened with Japanese yen in 1980s, I think there could be some suprises with yuan, like the rate jump 5 or even 10 % in a week (or day)

you got it right buddy, 10-20 pips usually the better pips range. I've been consistent with these lately. After second thought it's easier to get 50 pips or more by opening 5 or more positions then waiting for one position for several hours even a whole day. But my weakness is I most of the time playing this high risky trading 20-30% of the balance for a position so each time " i have to be right"..which of course not always. I really need to increase my account later so i can strict with the MM rule but with the same profit approach as I play today which is 1 pip = $1 trading...

of course it could all go horribly wrong.

Other reasons, it's broken my 34 EMA on 4 hour chart and looks like it is re-testing it at the moment and my 200 SMA is located at 1.4016. Weekly pivot at 1.4054, monthly at 1.4039. I'm not too hot with terminology but there's a bearish engulfing or bearish outside bar on daily as well. MACD, RSI and Stochs have turned down on 4 hour as well. Well that's my reasons. Oh, also had bullish divergence on 4 hour USDX, lower price but slightly higher high on RSI and of course that gap and I think it achieved it's short term objective at 78.40 area today (that's why I think it's due for a bounce)

I'm still bearish USD long term though. 1.4000 for today will do.
