still can do that.. your positions may just all have the same cost average is all.. im not sure about this.. but all my trades are cost averaged as added..

Unfortunately that's not quite true for "everyone" in the US... depends on the borker at this point. New posters especially should get their facts straight, or concentrate on other things instead.

Does anybody know what the idea is behind no hedging? Is that supposed to reduce market manipulation or stop hunting or stuff like that?

Thanks for the replies. Apparently it will not apply to UK brokers, so for now one shouldn't worry. I hadn't realised that it just affects US clients

I know...some brokers even let you have two accounts to get around it, just wondering why they set the rule up..(except to be pain in the arse)

No hedging permitted with standard / micro accounts at ACM. If you're an institutional account ($50K+) you can hedge.

Regarding no longer being able to use limits and stops.......never heard of that before now.

dono.. never had it.. so i wont miss it..i just use the chf rarely if a want to scalp opposite euro or hedge rarely if i think needed..

Day trades of course but a break much further north of here doesn't seem very likely.
