Hi everyone,

Sorry for going off topic, but I just read something for the first time about MT5 which is due to be released in the Autumn. Would I be correct in that MT5 will not allow us to place multiple orders/trades on the same pair and instead will close your current position automatically (win or loss). This makes hedging impossible right?

What a pain. Now we need more than one broker or account. Is there another way to get around this??!

that will be just for US brokers right?

I think so, all UK brokers will allow hedging in their MT5. Hopefully
If something is too good to be true, it’s probably NOT true.

Why would it be allowed for UK brokers and not US brokers??

I'm in the UK, so thats ok for me, but the UK always copies the US anyway, so it will only be a matter of time before we follow suit.

We all know that Metatrader is for the broker, not the trader, so any changes are bound to benefit the former, but stopping hedging??? Thats ridiculous.

You may also want to know that from next month in the US we won't have the ability to set up stop loss or take profit limits. The only thing we can do is just open another order to cancel the prior one. hmmm... I wonder if that's gonna bring some money back in to the States.

I would have to stop trading or I'd blow my account for sure.

Why would you want to pay double spread just to be flat? I lost more money this way than by taking the SL.

huh??? i think your mistaken.. ive been trading under the so called new rules for 3 years..i can do all the above and after tp is hit can revert to trailing stop..i never had the ability to hedge the same pair in same account.. the rules dont change for me..

I sometimes open several positions in the same direction and this would be very bad for my trading style if I was unable to do this.
