DislikedGator, you know I'm with you on the oil price. I want to see it below $45 for a fair price. But I know for a fact that it can't go much lower than that. Have worked for 3 years in the oilfield right there on ground zero doing wireline logging so I consider myself of having a quite comprehensive view on the oil issue. Indeed it's true that closing down a well is costly, but I bet it's less costly than to pay money just to sell oil. And you have to remember that in most of the countries the governments have a stake of the reservoir production and...Ignored
in 2001 we would of been dancing in the streets for 50$ oil.. 50$ is profitable.. the problem is we inflated the dollar compared to oil for too long..now its worth just 20% comparibly to where we were in 2001..with some the largest stockpiles in finished product ever. alaska pays its residents each year for state oil sold.. try cutting that check out.. try taking 80k a year from the saudis citizens..
