To answer your question "Why are we here" in your Post Title...
But maybe you should put in some more time here then becoming part of this community before deciding what the main topic here should or should not be.
After a heavy personal investment of Time in this thread, I don't come here much anymore for posting or anything else now, but the EU thread is still part of the Forex Factory and some folks will Always be watching it along with others for spammers, scammers, and trolls doing their thing, otherwise the entire FF site is at risk.
It's clear from some folks responses that not everyone understands that, but whatever... Ignorance might be Bliss in some cases.
Contrary to some peoples Uninformed or maybe Underinformed Opinions, this whole Forex Factory site is monitored 24/7 by the "whole trading community" here and not just Twee. And that's the thing that makes this site the great place it is instead of the Disasters some other sites have become.
If you didn't know that... now you do.
It may be "Free" and it may be "Public", but to participate here, one still has to "Agree to Abide" by certain Rules in the initial Registration process, and that infers Agreement as to how Admin will interpret them in any wider sense that may become necessary to settle disputes.
You don't get to just check the little box one day and then come in here and start raising hell the next day or week or month w/o someone eventually coming to see you about it...
This site and this thread will become what We/You agree to let it become... and "We" is not made up of Me or You or a few Malcontents or clueless new members with a differing opinion who thinks every little criticism of them is a Personal Attack requiring them to start screaming "I'm a Victim!"... but a whole Community of folks who have decided for whatever reason this place is worth spending some time wiping up after others when necessary instead of Everyone waiting for Someone to flush...
That's my take on why we're here. Money? I can "make money" w/o ever signing on to this place, and I bet most of You can too...
People I really don't follow the forum every day so as far as I understand something went wrong between some users.
But please - Can't we just talk about money?, that's why we are here, no?
And regarding trading ideas and analysis, of course, but money should be the main topic here...
