thanks Kenneth. Wouldn't you say the big rise of the head somewhat invalidates that though? I agree the daily has closed very strongly

(What's noteworthy about the inverted head and shoulders is the volume aspect. The inverted left shoulder should be accompanied by an increase in volume. The inverted head should be made on lighter volume. The rally from the head however, should show greater volume than the rally from the left shoulder. Ultimately, the inverted right shoulder should register the lightest volume of all. When the market then rallies through the neckline, a big increase in volume should be seen.)

inverted h&s are always to be found at the end of downternds they are reversal patterns which are nothing more than a lower low (right shoulder) formed after the through (head). Also if you want to adhere to strickt TA rules right shoulder CANNOT be lower than left one.

So i know name of thread is trade what you see. i saw 2.5 million shares being sold at end of day today. If GS is so great why is everyone running for the hills at EOD ?

I know why GS reporting pre market tomorrow .. expected is $3.48 based on last months earnings. Hey what happened to the orphan month ? December. In reality they jammed ALL their losses into this month ( they changed accouting dates) and did not have to report it . They barely broke even. How do you go from barely break even last quarter to $3.5 per share and equal to the third quarter of the good times in 2008.

so my bet ( and i shorted GS at top of market today at close) is they have less then expected and GS shares get hit tomorrow .. SURPRISE !!!

Also if GS is so bullish why the volume last 15 min at the top of market ? think this is pros buying .. lol they already know the earnings results.

" NO that is insider trading " i hear you saying .. one set of rules for us and one set of rules for those that run the markets (goldmand trades 30 % of shares on the s&p in their own private accounts)

GJ I am looking for move to 153 / 154 and then sell during Asia / London .

Hope everyone is doing well today. I thought had a nice long this morning at 7am edt from 6099, took profit and covered, only to come back and see that she took me out and continued on her way. Oh well....

I'm flat atm......

Waiting for more conformation....

Is this the top of the range?? She closed below my trendline, below the 200sma, but above everything else. Pass the 50% retracement of this last move.....

Plus this is the same thing that happen last Monday only to see here fall on Tuesday.

Let's see how she plays out. :nerd:

I am short GU but got in way to early but atleast it is headed my way now

Didn't take the short, got my ass spanked on that earlier from 6235 and stopped out at 6253. So, I did get long at 6240 though.

Infinity called that level. I just agreed with him. I can see it getting taken out. I can see 638x actually, but I'm not sold that now is the time to get into a long position. I see my position getting taken out. We'll have stronger PA to confirm with the h4 close in 2hrs.

i got stopped out of my h4 50 short as well bro but it was a very small loss because of the tight stop...I took the short at 6290 and closed and reversed at 6232..
