You're Right. Accepting This And Accepting Our Losses Sometimes Becomes A Little Hard. But Me Myself After Done Accepting Them, Could Control Overtrading And Taking Revenge From The Market. I've Seen Many People That Are Trying To Find Something That Always Works. Respecting Our Losses And Try To Learn From Them (Some Time The Thing We Learnt Is Just What Mph Said, Sometimes Is Our Mistakes In Entry, Sometimes In MM , Sometimes It Is Psychologic Matters, etc. ) Make Our Progress Very Fast.

This discussion is great . Its is very reassuring when you know that you have the support of others who are experiencing the same issues. "Mark Douglas " Trading in the Zone " does an excellent job of these psychological issue and developing a winning attitude.

Good Morning, Sonikers!

I'm with Basber ... I do not see too much yet in the way of solid Sonic plays.

Here is a current snapshot of the GU. Looks like about 50 points to first TP and about 50 points to SL, so it just squeaks in for what I consider the minimum to take the trade. I prefer to be closer to 2:1 risk/reward to first TP, but those are rare. 1.5/1 are more common.

Also, I do not see real clear, clean, swings (wave analysis). I usually require nice, "clear as day" swings to take anything less than a 1.5:1 RR at first TP.

I am going to demo trade this one, but not real money on it. Every week gives plenty of good SonicOpps. No need to rush into anything but the most clear probabilities.

We shall see how it goes. Buy stop is 1.6133, and TP is 1.6183.

Hi Folks,

As you can see, my paper trade on the GU was stopped into a long position and then imediately reversed. Price came within a whisjer of my stop loss, but the trade is still "alive," though this one is, as I said, in my demo account. It does show how important the proper stop loss is, as if it were a live trade, a bounce here at support might a) let me out for a smaller loss or b) turn this into a profitable trade, all while c) protecting me from a loss so big that it blows my account.

I will add a second screen shot update, to show that while I was typing, a bounce did developand that bounce did cut the loss by more than 75% so far - again, Sonic teached that stop loss must be place below, and not at, support (for long trades) and the stop loss must be placed above, not at resistance for short trades. I have had a few SonicR trades where proper stop loss saved the trade.
