around the same time this happened the chf hit a similar area on its chart. both pairs had a full head of steam at this time and stopped...why? well those numbers posted were posted here 2 weeks ago and longer if you count the first unpolished draft..

Thx for the reply, well still doesn't understand it. I should do some more effort, but it's getting late. I don't really scalp, nor do I trade long term. I have no time to stare at the screen and exit my entries when the tide looks like changing. I donno if it is a trading style, but I trade as much as possible while hedging. Keep the long and the shorts as tide to eachother as possible.

Atm, I only have a short running, and as I told before I try to keep space between longs and shorts small. I'm now waiting for a retrace to enter my long hedge... Probably not the most innovative trading style, but I have less stress.

yes its not explainable you have to study chart.. then in live move you will understand..

At my chart I have a resistance line drawn at 1.4025, but to me that is more like an "area". An area is a place where I see that the PA stalls many times or reverses (actually such a line crosses many many candles). An area is about 30 pips. So 17 is included.

maybe this will help..pull the numbers and build a chart.... use different tf. a 5m should tell you a lot..study what areas are breached during reversal..the personality repeats over and over..the white lines = blue numbers destribed in post.. in chart blue lines = black numbers .. its done that way because when i post i cant highlight numbers in white.

Nice chart! Although I find the blue lines not very impressive, but that will be just me.. I'm happy to see your next number downwards on the chart, mine is just 1 pip away 1.3987

oh well dont look a gift horse in the mouth. follow suggestions. on tf.. i did a 15 just to get more numbers on the screen. you built your chart after candles appeared. candles appeared on mine after chart was built.

Hehe, didn't mean to be rude or so. I really do appreciate your efforts, and I am thankful for all lessons I can learn. (But sometimes my english does lack the weight of my words).
Your a genious how price acts at those drawn lines. My lines are indeed drawn after the candles appeared, but I keep watching them and those lines seem very helpful in the future because PA always hesitates there.

Wake up this morning and see my TP is already hit. Nice touch. The price seem to be weak today and i think we can see bearish will take position.

Our friends over at Citibank have been quiet for a few weeks. They had a bit of trouble with the timing of their trades and like any good trader, they took a break. Now they’re back, let’s see if they’re back in form.
They have gone short EUR/USD at 1.4050 with a target at the 200-day MA at 1.3320 and a stop-loss above 1.4210. I hope they are taking China’s manipulations into account. I like the trade anyway and the risk/reward is excellent.
On a related note, they are also calling for a significant retracement higher in the VIX.

The Talks

  1. Sovereign names selling EUR/USD towards 1.4100- no exact levels yet
  2. Decent sized offers in USD/JPY at 93.50 and good bids back towards 92.00- dealers anticipate a period of consolidation over coming days
  3. AUD/USD- trailing stops above the overnight .7860 high. Sell orders at .7910-15 should contain rallies. Not much in the way of decent bids until .7700-20 with some Sovereign interest mentioned.
  4. Strong bids in EUR/GBP around .8525 level and just above
