Looks like shorts are played out for now...

I had a revelation a couple days ago when contemplating trading rangebound action...don't laugh, but Bollinger bands have worked good on hourly. Watch for 200SMA and trade accordingly.

Yea...I did not stay in ly LONG GU either....I exited with almost 100 pips though...
I'm waiting for a long, but that could take another hour. In the meantime I may take a low risk scalp south if it gets to 1.3981

sounds like a good plan at this point

my system doesn't (unfort) pick tops and bottoms but usually gives me a nice part of the middle - unfort that means sometimes I will enter on the signal then it will re-trace - why not wait then I hear you cry, there are times when I enter and it carries on going in my favour....I say it every time - system friend - me enemy!!!!

Need to stick to my UK no new trades lunch time rule....

Went short at 3966. 1hr chart does indicate a bounce.

we never broke 3949 an important swing low, on my chart, we by my definition were still in an uptrend. well see if we go above 14005

I guarantee there aren't a lot of people laughing this summer so far.

Look at M5. If this turns at the 1.3980s then we could end up with a nicely formed top of the right shoulder of a H & S formation, and possibly later a run down to the 1.3800 area.

Been a tough one...I sold all stock started going long dollar on commodity roll over so been OK for me. Problem is the commodities are rolling over more than dollar is appreciating; perhaps the global costs of commodities will drop for all currencies...therefore range bound regardless of input costs. The input costs for manufactures dropping is the only way they will be able to grow profits. Still, though, I am afraid of US dollar depreciation driving inflation...china has been moving in to raw materials so once they get loaded up on materials they can stick it to the Dollar by selling treasuries and make even more money...they are running the show, so I am on the look out.

I've closed out my short from 1.3981, scalp. May take another short if it gets back to that level.
P.S. won't be taking another scalp short at that level.
