Dollar index approaching resistance on 50SMA daily...but I am tempted to short EURUSD here...

hard to call.
i'm not even gonna think of new short until US gives some direction - once they are open and properly running, I reckon the next valid long or short signal I get is worth getting fully loaded for....(after BST lunch....

the last short a few of us did was a valid signal, but the problem was that we were mid London lunchtime (broke my no trading during Ldn Lunch rule) - i've noticed that the trend usually stays in the same direction from the morning sesh or at least pauses during this time. it was like yesterday, market fake up, drew in some longs, then NY got going and took it the other way with valid signal....I should have been as strong as I was yesterday....still whats 2% hey!! we'll double that this arvo!!

As stated yesterday, eurusd price is above the 200sma daily, so it's trending up, search for buying the dips and sell at new highs.

Nothing prevent your from using 4H or 1H or something else to gauge the trend.

Just use one time frame to determine the trend of the market you're trading. If you start using 2-3 or more time frames then you'll be lost...
Just imagine a compass, indicating 2 or 3 different north, that would be just useless.
Getting it right is NOT as important as not getting it wrong.

Asian central banks as well as a supra-national central bank have been seen selling into EUR/USD strength in the wake of the US jobless claims data. Offers are scattered up through 1.4020 above which some stops are seen. Offers return toward 1.4050. We trade now at 1.4005.

3 min track. If we break 1.3960 it's down, but watch for retest afterwards followed by more upside.

I think today it's better to take little profits. So I will scalp with very tight SL. I'm out of my last short.
