No problem, I understand, the thought has crossed my mind also- to these guys I guess that would be sort of micro-managing, not very cost effective when you can just run Mcdonalds commercials and start small wars...

My first post, so be gentle :-)

Given that the FX market trades about $3 trillion per day, and EURUSD makes up about 30% of that, I doubt that we make a lot of difference!

I don't post over there much.

I don't think the banks care much about the retail traders, but the retail brokers would. I would not doubt that they are represented here & its not too paranoid to suspect that they would try to influence trading practices & maybe even try to move PA.

Good point but I wonder what % the retail trades represent given that the figure probably relates to LOADS of round trip trades. But I think I will drop the subject. It was playing on my mind so I asked you guys...afterall we are here to assist each other (I hope).

I have to admit that there appears to be some pretty solid analysis over there!

PS. Surely stop-running is similar to players attempting to influence the price by feeding popular thread misinformation at times of market balance. Anyway, I must stop thinking about this other wise it will drive me even more around the bend than I currently am.

I hate to ask but is there any technical reasons or news causing the EU to head down? I have two shorts from awhile ago, But I have been on Summer vacation and haven't been staring at the charts lately.

Any help to recap Thanks a bunch.

I think the worldwide run up in in equities and commodities based on nothing really more than hope and wishful thinking is finally starting to come back to reality.

yes.. dollar was weakened for 8 years to make oil people richer.. to pump up the stock market to 13000. on bs. and to make all the middle class poorer.. last fall was reality.. check out usd vs anything and you will see..the bigger trend on usd is whos in the big house.. now were constipated and need a painful enema to let all the bad stuff pass.

The pair never made it to the PP but that doesn't mean pivots didn't play a role.

Check out the attached chart.

The pair bounces off S1 during the euro session.

It bounces off S1 again during the US session and the drops below it.

Once it's below S1 the pair struggles back north to S1... a great Selling opportunity.

It moves back down to the low.

This happens often during heavy pressure days.

Look for the pair to move through a pivot level... head back to test it and then continue on its way in the direction of the trend.
