That argument has been going in circles for years.

And the answer to this is always the same.

In time, they can built their own middle class. China can create a Chinese style suburbia with the two Chinese made cars parked in the Chinese made driveway of the Chinese made bungalow which has a Chinese living room with Chinese made electronics.

That kind of scenario, if it does unfold, won't be overnight. But it is something to seriously consider.

Isn't there supposed to be a finite supply of currency? An infinite supply creates a Zimbabwe like scenario.

Was it difficult to get dollars before 1971?

then again were on the edge of a huge crater..will it really matter when the dust settles? they should have done this before last summer..its just more proof to me that china is desperate..like Russia and a lesser degree India.. desperate can only strengthen dollar in the long run

No, the problem they are trying to solve is that not many central banks hold it, therefore its harder to get.

Just think about it, I've never seen the Yuan on ANY broker.

I also must mention it would be nice to see what companies did this and if they are public or private corporations and how Chinese stock traders are reacting to the deal, seems like overall they would be best educated in this area.

It did.

Had the U.S. stayed out of a few things. Like any armed conflict it's been involved in since the end of WWII, particularly Vietnam.

Then the U.S. wouldn't have been in a financial mess, the gold standard would have been kept and things would be alright.

Yes of course there should be a fixed supply of currency but blame it on the yanks they're the people that forced the entire world out of the Gold standard. We are screwed...

Fair enough. But how many central banks held the Japanese Yen in 1950?

Were there more in 1985? I'd like to believe there were.

Central banks can acquire Yuan. And if we all spam our brokers demanding to buy it, guess what they'll do.

I would love nothing more than buying me a few tens of thousands of Yuan and hold on to it.

I have added the fix to all three versions, even though apparantly v2 didn't need it. It is too late to edit the post to which these fibos were attached, to update them. I am not changing revision numbers as I post them here with the fix. I would like to delete the old post, but cannot. So be it. I am only posting all three again because they are already out there. #SpudFibo_v3 is the only one you need....it is the best.

hey if markets crash you might get some cheap yuan.. but after the revolution and the cloaning of more women.. will it be worth anything?
