Demas, It took that long becauase I teamed up with a friend who used to hack my system i.e. a counter trader who would critically deny the effectiveness of my every new method and test the system. We together discarded many systems because were faulty. Plus our aim was to double the money in one night. Then we moved to .3% return per day, then to .1% per day, then to double or half in a day, so on and so forth ............ studying markets, technicals, economics, etc, etc. were part of that. Just imagine I was not even aware of fx forums until July 2008. I never studied a single fx trading book until 2008. I traded first several months without knowing that there are charts. Trading directly from chart was feature introduced years after I started trading. Just imagine what you learn through such a process.

Seriously...I'm not taking the p*ss but what you have learnt will be invaluable.

ok now i got the whole idea...i would suggest instead of saying u have 10 years of exp u shud say u have few months of real forex exp....coz before that u was just gambling and bursting your accounts without knowing what exactly you are doing.and now when u started understanding market u are making money.

Still in my long position and it looks like USD/CHF doesnt want to break previous highs so long position remains HOWEVER there is still a chance of it closing at my stop loss.

IT wants to go up, but is being held back by continued selling. Where it wants to go it will eventually go. I'm trading intraday swings. Could double top then come back down and so on, until it gives the game away.

Exactly. Just watching flashing blue and red numbers. Mentally calculating number of pip change. And this is not difficult, rather gives you clear idea of where support and resistances are. It will also give you an idea how time affects ticker. A feature I never heard on forums. Try this sometimes, you will like it. There was one poster on ff not very long ago who mentioned that he never uses charts just ticker.

ps. When I started, charts were there but i was not aware of their existence. Then it took me weeks to know why there are different time frames. In those days, you see a chart and go back to platform to place a trade, directly trading from chart feature was not there. I still don't know much about technicals. I learned about fibs few months back. EMA also not long ago, and still don't know what RSI, MACD, etc are. What are oscillators, etc. Only thing that I know that few years ago one of my method coincided with Stoch. I used stoch but now couldn't remember much about that method. Check my first few posts, I asked a question what PA was.
