I just entered long. But I am at university right now and can only use my Oanda demo account with poor charting. So I'm not taking this trade serious.

i'm off out now and probably won't trade until Monday. anyway it seems the thread is now dead (for now) so i'm guessing everyone else is probably also out and doing other stuff....

Probably just range around this whole for a while.

But, you long timers, do you trade the Friday of a big US long weekend holiday? Or not? (4th of July, Independence Day, this weekend..)

I belive we are done for the day. Bond traders are gone at 11am so light volume till next week. We may see a stop in hunt if it does not happen by 1pm then we are done. I personally don't like to trade on holiday weekends and Friday's. But I am already in a trade then well I have manage it well

On this M30 chart, just look at the rise in relative volume as price neared lows, just like yesterday when the rise in relative volume was notable as price neared highs, just like the previous day when relative volume rose as price neared both highs and lows. So, to me this is indicative of heaviest trading in "turn around" areas.

Turn-around, huh? With US traders thinning out Asian market not likely to reverse a trend carried through New York, no? so maybe ez traders will pull one off in 12 hrs or so.

I have gotten skittish around these wholes, though - unless I'm scalping, which I'm doing now - for 4 & 8 pip targets, woohoo.

What is the platform you are trading with, would like to have the volume data but FXCM tells me its not available in forex?

Nothing strange about that at all. The underlying truth about all lines (S,R, TLs, etc.) is that they represent "areas", and not specific prices. Add to that the fact that TLs can be drawn from different perspectives, getting psycotic about "exact limits" is useless.
Edit: Another thought - As price comes upon one of these lines, as often as not (maybe more often than not) the price will "overshoot" the line.

Platform is MT4, and volume data is only that going thru the Metaquotes server and on to my broker. As such, it is far from being complete and accurate volume data, but useful as "representative" volume data. I am much surprised to hear that FXCM has absolutely no volume data at all!

For anyone interested in true volume, just open a demo futures account and you can see real volume data on almost anything you might care to trade. I trade spot and futures at the same time live, but when I had the futures demo & live spot, the lag between the two was only a few seconds at most. CME euro FX and spot match pretty well tick for tick even in M1, but there are differences. Depending on where your "volume" data is coming from through your spot broker, it is likely that the CME true volume is based much larger liquidity anyway..
