Looks like we have a little fight on our hands between 4130 and 4120....there must be some stops down there that are being protected. Let's see who wins!

No, it means I won't trade FX based on news. Period. The charts are what is important. Predictions are for the birds, though fun to pass the time doing.

According to the sub-channel we are in, the stage is set to go down at least 500 pips for the next 2 weeks or so. thats what I'm trading now. Depending of the situation the botton of the main channel could be reached @ 1.3550 or so.

If the market manage to go higher I will get out at break even and trade biased to the retest of the top of the main channel @ 1.48 area. Either way is a low risk big reward trade.

Stops just run under 1.4125. Man, it must be nice to have the money to bend the market to your will---it's almost like free money!!! Now that Asia traders have had their stop snack, let's see where this thing will head.

EU M15: So far, it looks like a genuine break downward. Troubling though that it is so early in the session, as sometimes a BB break will travel a bit then do a reversal and move in what later turns out to be the real direction of the breakout run. At this point, PA about the central pivot is what I am watching. If PA passes down thru it and we get some candle closes there, then I build faith in the direction. I entered short 1.4026, small.

Looks like we can come down to 1,4060-80 by looking at 1H RSI... But I am long if 1,4155 kicks in... for a "free" 20 pips...

I would think that a correction to 4100 or 4080 off this latest move would be in the course of things, doesn't neccessarily imply bigger shorts.

If it was a run down to capture longs with Stop Loss numbers in the area, why did they not run it substantially below the main pivot = 1.4114, since logically, that is where most of stops would be?

As suspected, Asia coverd their morning nutt with that little liquidity pool below 4125. Now they have moved on. Just looking at the hourly chart, there should be some small stops below 4160, with the bigger prize comming below 4100. To the top side there should not be much until above 4230 area. We will have to see where PA takes us until Frankfurt and London to guess which set those guys will go for.

Where the pivot is has nothing to do with it. Just look at the hourly chart at all the congestion near 4125, then the big break out this morning. All those longs that were taken on the break put their stops below 4125--- not all at the exact same number, but in that area. Price got pushed down until enough got triggerd so that those stops sucked price down into more stops. In these crucial few seconds, the Asia pushers got out of their shorts. Whether or not it crossed the pivot was of no consequence, just so they had enough liquidity to liquidate their positions.

Any idea how many 100k lots we are talking about where you have to start worrying about liquidity in a major pair?

It really depends on the time of day, and how far you have to go to get the stops. In thin market conditions 2-5 million leveraged 100:1 could probably move the market 20-30 pips to make a run at stops. Much more if volume is normal---at least 10 times that number. That is why when you see a stop run to + 50 pips during London/NY crossover, you just have to sit back and say "Wow", the heavy hitters were out today.

What you are suggesting, by this "taking out of stops" (which should, in truth, if it be true, be stated as PA manipulation down to STEAL long positions....a far better way of stating this in the future), is that we are scheduled for more large upside. Otherwise, why bother stealing the long positions?

I don't know how else to explain it. Longs are liquidated, if that is what you mean. But when it is over the manipulators are neither long nor short...they just have the money.
