Having fun with pocket money is a nice entertainment but when it comes to bigger lots it's best not to trade in this news time in my opinion.

Xaron if we break 1.385 we are heading to 1.37 and if thats taken out look out below. The only way we can back long is if we get a daily close above 1.417

Regarding the statement there were no surprises. But not hawkish either. Actually that should be support the currencies like Euro and Aussie... If the dust settles I expect a return to the current up trend.

That's your opinion. Mine differs. I don't care that much about those levels as there are so many fake breakouts. We need a break at least of 1.3720 (and I don't mean a simple penetration but a close below that level)...

Not really. Let's take the stop run below 1.4000. Hedgefund traders target these areas, wait for a moment of low volume, and then pounce. Once the stops are triggerd, price cascades downward and gives them a chance to close out those shorts that they used to push the market over edge in their favorable direction. This is why we usually see pull back shortly after a stop hunt. When you and I look to make money in the market, we do not think about liquidity. A trader with 50 million has to think about areas of liquidity and how to create them. Now, there are big firms out there with long term positions, but the pump and dumpers are in and out fast. Once a group of hedgefunds targets a set of stops, they are relentless like a pack of wolves--pressing the price where it needs to go to get the cascade effect and liquidity pool. Dosen't always work though... occasionally there are other hedgefunds (options related) protecting a price on the opposite side, or even better a central bank drawing a line in the sand. Even central banks can be beaten back occasionally, just as George Soros!
