ye it happened a bit early but hey atleast I was not that off. Stay out till it breaks critical levels. Wonder how many ppl are getting trapped or stopped out.

Back in the day...before this current craziness, FX was about intrest rates. Right now, it is about commodities and risk aversion/acceptance. EU longs are playing a dangerous game right now. Enough good news from the US will bring intrest rates back into focus... When and if the market ever decides that the US will be raising rates first it will be down periscope for this pair, in a hard way. Europe is still debating on ways to lower rates. In short, when intrest rates come back into focus and we get off of this commodity side show, the news results and reaction to it will begin to make sense again. Until then, we are in reverse psychology mode.

No. Rate cuts in Europe are not in the cards anymore as far as I can see this. Neither are rate hikes in the US. They won't hike, not this year, not next year. The US debts are that huge, no one can simply imagine anymore. The only way to attract the necessary foreign capital would be a double digit interest rate or a devaluation of the Dollar. Guess what will happen?

we seem to be following these numbers. at least we had been before news..if its a retrace.. it will continue respecting these numbers..there are 3 sets but these seem to be the ones..3846 3910 3962 4012 4101 above the red number is where i consider it not working. or trend weak . watch the...

earlier above post remain valid still.. 3962 is the 50% mark of a retrace from the recent top (4182 on june 11) we look like we will test this again tonight. 4012/4076 is the next on the list.. there are others historic levels playing part of the move since last year.. but these seem to be the numbers its following..for now. where caught between a historic big move.. levels of big move im using 4184 4096 4038 3993 3948 3892 3804.. but these are just for personal use to judge strength of bear/bull..but other then that they mean little to others...still bearish... still think big things are ahead.. still sticking to my plan.

im amazed that all the news today did not push us higher then we are. a thought , if inflation is null like stated this week.. will e-zone give a surprise rate cut?

still got my lunch packed. it takes many beers to cook a tender bisket. if you want fast food your in the wrong place, just have to be sure you dont fall asleep.. bears can steal your meat/bulls can knock the pit over..always try to expect the unexpected..part of the reason i get in a little at a time...

I did not say that it will happen...nobody know what Central Banks will do. It is about perception of what may happen. German ZEW has horrible, US Philly only 3% from positive. A few more exchanges like that and traders will start thinking about intrest rates again. Perception is all that it takes. Reality is that US and Europe both stink!

Oh that's so true. You're right. But just a little note: You can't compare the ZEW with the US Phil.
