It looks as if some one wanted to paint the 1 hour chart so they gave it a goose near the close to make it not look so bad.

that is one funky inverted h&s on the 5min chart...so weird..hard to believe its valid...heres a line chart as it shows it best. thanks to doblece for teaching me about these weird ones.

Sidenote..while i have been scalping long all day...this last trade is based entirely on a break of neckline and my stop loss is as always 50pips...50pip target on this one although i see 1.3905/15 area easily reached... (i post my trades for comparison only..not as something to be blindly followed..just a reminder)

This could be a good day for longs. Long off each retrace so far. Looking for 1.3859 as next TP. Market likely to stall there. Buying pressure in hourly chart.

One more analysis based on a longer timeframe.

Last week we spent the entire week consolidating at the highs in what appeared to be a double top at around 1.4140 with neckline around 1.3945 which then suggested a run down to 1.3750. That obviously has happened with this week's market open. There were 2 things that fueled this fundamentally...one was the overall comments about how the US dollar is the only possible reserve currency at this time (G-9meetings..elaborated by Russia especially). The second thing was the 30 year bond auction which has been pro dollar...not by what was said and done..by but the fact we did not spike up 500pips and stay up like the day when US announced feds would buy treasuries.

This brings us to the current situation. While that double top on the hourly for last week was completed...2 things still remain in play. One is last weeks candlestick was a small bull volume doji after a previous bear candle with decent volume. Technicals 101 suggest this weeks candlestick should naturally be a strong bearish volume. Secondly...the downtrend started at the highs is still intact. We are very close to the upper wall now around 1.3900 (give or take 50pips for volatility). While I remain bearish overall...that area around 1.3900 will determine the trend for the rest of the week. Strong resistance or not?..you be the judge.
