Yes I remember your post (felt jelous about sony )

It looks the same on my htc as on your ipac. I just changed from rsi to stochs (rsi being to hectic for me). When the stochs cross happens it's similar to trix cross. There is seldom going back from there. On the rsi pullbacks are frequent I don't have a feel for it.

Hi Bart

I use the RSI 5 on my analysis charts, that's why I'm vey familar with it and try to have something I know well on the mobile device.

One thing I want to make clear: I don't trade mobile devices. When I'm trading, I'm in the trading room with my multi screens.

I'm using the mobile only to be informed or to execute an existing long term trade when necesary.

In my opinion the information on MT4 mobile is far too limited to take a trade.


BTW: a used Sony UX you can get for less than a new Iphone in Ebay.

That rule is made for the method of MissPips which is designed especially for trading with one monitor.

I use multiple screens and observe not only the trix color, I see as well the trix pattern, with other words: no, but I would if I need to trade with one only screen.

Hello and Greetings to the Thread

After reading a small percentage of the traffic on the thread, I d/l the THV system and after installing it did a manual count of THV signals for E/$ from 6/10/09 17:15 gmt through 6/12/09 22:20 gmt on a 5 min chart. Of the 50 signals, 42 resulted in positive gains. Pips won (subtracting 16% for slippage) would have been 1068 assuming 100% trading efficiency. The average winner was about 3.5 time bigger than the average loser in my manual count. I assumed no fixed stops in the count and closed a position only when an opposing signal was generated.

The two criteria I used for accepting a signal were:


(a) if the fast TRIX line changed color and matched the THV3 Trend block immediately below and if the TRIX Histogram bar matched color in 2 of 4 blocks.

(b) if the fast TRIX line crossed over the slow line and if the THV3 Trend block immediately below matched and if the TRIX Histogram bar matched color in 2 of 4 blocks.

I ignored the Coral line in this manual count.

If an 80 plus percent accuracy rate is normal for the THV system, then it will not be long before those who use it will become wealthy.

Generally, what percentage accuracy has the system shown in testing thus far?

Thanks rbumbalough...could you please confirm that you were trading the 5minute chart, and that the TRIX Histo used M1 fast, M5 fast, M5 slow and M15 fast. TIA


pattinatore...the THV Trend Block should be directly below the TRIX, if you have set your charts up as pre Cobra FX.

My apologies to those who have posted questions directed to me recently and have not received an answer! I have been busy with other matters as well as Forex trading and have not visited FF during that time.

Hello,

I hope you know that the trix mtf histogram reflects the past incorrect? If you test something like this you must use the trade simulator or you look directly on the trix colour at the different timeframes.

Would it be possible to create a "total histo" indicator?

- at least 6 green bars on THV MTF Cloud & both THV MTF Histo -> GREEN
- at least 6 red bars on THV MTF Cloud & both THV MTF Histo -> RED
- if less than 6 -> yellow

In that case we would have only 1 indicator instead of three.

I agree. That is why I coded it into THV CaveManager too.

The other thing that is interesting to ponder - why do retail traders scale down/out of potential winners. Professional traders scale up/into potential winners once there are sufficient floating pips. Meaning they scale up with house money and make a potential winner even bigger.

A very simplistic example
1 lot winner with floating 40 pips. Move SL to lock in 20 pips and enter another lot with 20 pips SL. Now you have 2 lots in position with house money. Repeat as market moves in favor. The potential has multiplied.....

Just something to think about ....
