I must start by first saying that I like what I am seeing in the thread ... this are the comments that are encouraged here ....
Welcome Macman, I know you are an experienced trader .... and your views are very much welcome here ... true ... this is channel trading and COG is skewed in such a way to give a circular "feel" by setting m=4 is ok with me ... I still use default m=2 ... .. gives me a better view of signal indicators too ... Everyone should try and tweak COG as advised by Macman ... and whatever settings work best for you ... use ...
S.Ed welcome back man. Andrews Pitchfork is good too and true they work more or less the same .... but for rookies will be a tough nut to crack ... They should stick to the basics and once comfortable try new things ....
As to your Q ams on the Dow ....... hmmmm ..hmmmm ...... ....but be sure to share ... eye openers ..... anything for the green .... much welcome ..
Macman, S.ED, GeoffT and DOVO .... all pls feel free to brain storm ... challenge one another's points of view, debate ... all in an effort to make sure the statements are more green than red or white at the end of the day ... ..... That is why we are here and playing the mkts ...
NB: At the back of our minds let us remember the core of Katy is median trading ... always having the quartiles at our finger tips all day .... as targets and possible turn around nodes .... as S&R zones ....
Will be posting some more tips for beginners later on today .... with regard to SL hunting stop outs and draw down management ... All feel at home and chip in earlier whenever possible ....
