Gapping down, from memory recently all gaps have been continued so don't try to reverse these days ??

Daily chart shows potential to reverse off 1.3900 or 1.3800. 1.3900 is key level. May see some stalling at this price.

Gold gives us a type of "book price", like the value of a stock if the company were liquidated. Also like a stock, the actual price can vary a lot from book price depending upon a lot of factors. In fact, book price is rarely the actual market price. However, let me assure you, if the stuff ever really starts hitting the fan and countries really start melting down, how much gold each country holds in reserve will be of huge importance. That being said, I spend a lot of time thinking and reading about fair value of currency pairs, and I am not aware of any valuation model that puts the E/U at 2.000, much less 3.000. If there is such a model from a credible outlet I would very much appreciated knowing about it.

I have enjoyed this discussion and wish you all the best. I think there is little doubt we will see your outlook of a much higher Euro come to pass---the only question is the route it will take to get there.

My forecasts favour a daily reversal to 1.4156 and a weekly reversal to 1.4244.

Yes I've fully recovered from too much Vodka and Beer. I'll just have wine next time!

Seems to me that all gaps are supposed to close , sooner or later. It's to soon to tell IMO, the demand for dollars is still nowhere to be found. We'll see if a rumored possible rate change is to be believed.

The political will to start acting responsibly may not be in Washington before 2010. It maybe a lot to ask, (for people to believe the FED is now seeing a problem) for people to really fall for rumors.

Profit taking and news spikes don't equal demand IMO We have yet to see

I agree, i think this is only a correction and it will be contained by 1.3800/1.3730 area but i don't think it will reverse so quickly. I think it will consolidate a few days between 1.3800 and 1.3975 and towards the end of the week will break to the upside.l

Though I would rather wait and buy if it drops to 3900. And 3800.

Reversals can happen at any time-all depends on the reason (s) for the reversal.

Well, since the low is calculated by looking at myriad intermarket relationships and formations it follows that a significant break of the low will act in exactly the same way as a break of very strong support.

Anyway, no problem as I'm confident that I'll make between 1-2 times more pips than you over the coming 5 days.

Probably. Much prefer those graph levels. Makes sense from my analysis of the price movements and I don't think we're expecting any major news for a couple of days to change recent sentiment. Still anything can happen.
