Hi Forum,
Been a while, I lost my account, did a lot of soul searching, backtesting, and now ready to trade again. Using a technical system. The backtest is great, but I am freaking out about the concept of "curve fitting". Worried my new system is just fitted nicely to the data.
Testing it now with small money. 4 live trades so far in May.
My SL is 100pips and TP is 300pips for all trades.
SHORT: 1.3576 SL - first one a loser
LONG: 1.3927 - exit 1.4029 102pips
SHORT: 1.4029 - exit 1.3937 92pips
LONG: 1.3937 still open at 1.4121 now with 183pips. Waiting for exit condition or TP.
I am posting my trades to hold myself honest and truely test my new system.
If anyone has more info or links on the concept of "curve fitting" please help me and post it. I am so worried my system is a dud.

I cannot disagree more, when i have no clue , i don't trade at all. If that was ironic please forgive my lack of humor, it may be bcs of these Ozzies un-decisiveness they do in fact pierce sup/res levels in low volume, not this time thou.

I had some very good signals to get in at 4134, but first trade in a while I got gun shy. 15 pip risk, and look at it go. Probably going down to 4050, would have been an excellent trade!
Oh well, NEXT!
