Woohoo my first 10 pips of the day! God I never felt so alive!

Just need another 100 or so to break even on my first big month of live forex trading.....

One thing that surprised me is that we got the move high today. There was almost no long sideways movement before that happened. I am reminded of a trade I did several years ago when the market got to this position at end of week and opened big down the following week l(netting me a tidy profit as well). I am wondering about holding this short over the weekend. Something I rarely do, any thoughts?

Yesterday someone posted a link with a video about EUR/USD analysis. It was a guy speaking in broken english. Does anyone know which post it was on? It opened up in Window media for me so i cant tell which website it came from or who the speaker was.

please do. technicals tell me it can't go very far lower in the near term, but weekend has a nasty habit of springing surprises. It's just a memory that comes to mind when I dabbled in the Euro way back then.

I'm sorry Master notch, I will endeavor to improve. I had a pretty big drawdown in the early AM - one of this fast big moves up took out a sl on a pretty big position.

Overall, I am still hopeful. I have been consistently profitable when I have stuck to what I know how to do & have only lost (some really big ones) due to really stupid & laughable mistakes (for instance, my cat walked across the keyboard once and closed out a trade that was deep in the red) and trying to swing trade which I am too dumb to be consistent at yet...

Currently I'm flat but I never have a problem with holding over the weekend. If there is a gap either you are in profit, or if the gap goes the wrong way, just wait till the gap is closed.

knowing the kind of trader I am - I just don't hold trades over the weekend - in fact, I wrote it in my overall trading plan.

i just cant understand why you go short when an up trend is intact. probably, sunday afternoon and monday we will see some sideway movement, but there is no sign tells us market will go south. anyway, this is my point of view.

It's in the Recycle bin where it belongs for the reasons specified above... and where they will go in the future as well, until the poster eventually gets theirself banned if they persist.

That site is peddling signals services ranging from $150 to $500 bucks a month... and it's as simple as that. Any poster than continues to clog up FF with that sort of thing... don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Well according to the forecasting model the monthly low for June is likely to be around the 1.358 level. The forecast low for next week is 1.3782.

The predicted daily close for the next trading period is 1.4020. This is proving to be a very strong model.

I suspect...although I haven't check...that all of the above will be the same as other technical significant levels.
